Mickey's House?

I visited Mickey and Minnie's homes for the first time this last May. Minnie's house was adorable and so fun to check out. I also did het my picture taken with her. Her husband's house needed some light and fun, IMO. Though why they have two houses...well that is another tail right? I did go through Mickey's house and ended up in his barn. That room was dark and dank...a bit humid...to me felt like a line for an indoor pool. Anyway there was a huge screen on which was playing some ancient cartoon clips. No CM's anywhere and nothing seemed to be happening. I finally ended up heading out (which was not easy as the line I was in snaked around metal dividers and there were definitely folks in front of and behind me) because of time. I have heard from a friend who visited Mickey's house years ago at MK that what is supposed to happen, is a CM takes a small group of people, out one of a few doors. Depending on which door you are led out of the room you enter has Mickey dressed a different way. You meet him and have your picture taken. Is that how it works at DL? What are the different Mickey's? Thank you! I definitely want to see Minnie's house decorated (I hope) for Christmas in December and would check out Mickey's again then too if not before

That's odd that there weren't any CMs in the room with the huge screen. That's the final stop (ie waiting room) before meeting Mickey. Your account describing the M&G is accurate. We've seen three versions of him: Steamboat Willie Mickey, Fantasia Mickey, and Bandleader Mickey. I'm not sure if there's a fourth version (traditional tuxedo Mickey). You're right, they lead you to a random room that has one of those Mickeys. There's a PP photographer there and there's less pressure to rush out of there because they usually let in a few groups into the room at a time.

Thanks, Big Cheese. I think I'd most like to see Band Leader Mickey just because I will be joining my church choir. They all sound cute. As I was trying to get out there may have been a CM who I explained to also I wasn't cutting in the line just trying to exit. There definitely was no visible CM when I first walked into that room or for the 10-15 minutes I did wait. I will give it another try and report back

When we were there in May, we saw Tuxedo Mickey. I was very happy about that, as all the other times have been Steamboat Willie.

Maybe it depends on how busy it is. We have always met Mickey in the entrance to his house and then wound through the house exiting through the garage area with no extra meet. And meeting Minnie is always at the end of her house. We always thought of the walk through Minnie's house as the queue to meet Minnie and just thought Mickey wasn't as crowded (even though he is the big cheese) and didn't need the queue space at the moment. Also I don't think that Mickey and Minnie are officially married, thus the reason for two separate houses.

There is a 4th version because I met the traditional tuxedo mickey in the entrance of his house.

In most cases, when I go to Mickey's House, I get his Sorcerer's Apprentice role. Either that or his Band Concert role.

I am definitely more excited now about checking out Mickey's house again and this time waiting for the meet and greet. Do any of you have pictures with Mickey at his house, even just of Mickey if like me you don't care to post personal photos online? I'd love to get a sneak preview that way. Thank you!
