Halloween has one Christmas has one why not Easter?

Would you pay for a hard ticketed event at Easter time that included:

The Magic Kingdom decorated for Easter.

Special Character Meets in Spring Attire

Special parade and wishes just for the party

Peeps and Easter candy stations that are all around where you would carry a basket around and they could fill your basket with candies and eggs?

Egg coloring events?

I dunno it seems that time frame is a slowish time so to add an event and really pull something together in the magic kingdom seems like an awesome idea! I think if done it could be done right!

Would you attend the hop-tastic party?

I want to say no.... But Easter is my favorite holiday so sure, I bet I would. I should just give Disney all my bank account & credit card numbers right now .

The thing is though is it would have to be during the day. Evening is not soooo Easter ! springy too me.

There won't be an Easter party for the very same reason the Christmas parties stop the week before Christmas... Disney needs all the hours and activities it can in the parks to ease the strain of holiday crowds. Most school systems in this country have spring breaks leading into or out of Easter and it's one of the busiest periods of the year for the parks.

I just don't see Easter being a holiday everyone wants to celebrate for a month before the actual holiday like Halloween or Christmas.

Spot on!

Parties are there for one reason...... to bring in more revenue during slower time periods. And that's just not the case leading up to Easter. No way they could close the parks early that time of year.

I think they call that "Lent..."

I am not a fan of turning religious holidays into theme park events. Maybe a Spring Spectacular would work though..... especially for visitors from the cold areas of the country that badly want the season to begin..... where better than Florida?

Nope, not a chance.

Not a busy time? Interesting comment. That is Spring break for many people & one of the busiest times of the year.

We were there the week up to Easter & they had the Easter Bunny & the Mrs for pictures as you enter the park. I think many resorts had events on Easter. ( probably for a fee)
Epcot had a find the Easter eggs around the world showcase. You received an Egg after you found them all. This was for a fee of course.

I agree with you! I wouldn't go to an evening Easter Party, but during they day, I might think about it... But then, I have no clue how Disney could manage that.

So the best thing would be to have some of the activities you proposed to all guests during the Easter celebrations.

I would buy if the Easter party hard ticket included a gigantic easter egg hunt around the MK and inside each egg was a free FP :thumbsup2 Also each day, there would be one golden egg hidden really well that, if found, granted the finder an overnight stay in the castle suite that same night.

Disney are you listening????

Yeah I just thought it would be fun to have the parks to have more of an Easter presence and they go all out on Halloween and Christmas so why not!

I guess I always thought of the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot as their way of celebrating spring. So they kind of have the event, just not a special ticketed one. The egg hint is kind of fun as well!

Easter falls within the very busy spring break season, so no...it's not a slowish time. Personally, an Easter party isn't something I would have any interest in. I'm not of fan of early closures at MK.

The Halloween & Christmas have some dependence on locals attending. I doubt they could come out for this. The Princess party a few years ago failed due to low attendance.

IF they had such a party similar to MNSSHP, yes, I'd pay to attend. About $70 vs. $100 for a regular ticket. 4pm to midnight in MK is plenty for me. Don't care about a special parade or fireworks. Just rides and possibly collecting some Easter candy.

But I seriously doubt Disney would ever have such an event. It's too crowded for spring break in the time leading up to Easter.

Disney has Easter / Springtime events at Disneyland :)

Not an seperate ticket party, but events at the ranch and then an egg hunt with a prize at the end that you purchase maps for.
