Anyone who went to the Halloween Party at Disneyland last year, specifically in Mid-October (14-17th-ish), can tell me what prices approx. were?

I was not there last year, infact I have been atahalloweenparty in 5 years, but I also wanted the same information since figuring out costs really influences my planning.

I looked on line and this is what I found: advance purchase price was 67-84 (weekends and Halloween night were more expensive) and 77-84 if purchased the day of.

I found pricing and other info here:
https://www.undercovertourist.com/blog/guide-disneyland-halloween-time/

But I know that it is going to be smaller with less offerings this year because of the rivers of america closure/construction and likely partially because of #thanksshanghai but I can't be sure exactly how it will be different/paired back.

Wouldn't that be great if they charged less because of the construction on Rivers of America!! Some people speculate that because of the construction it may be moved to California Adventure though. I guess we will find out in a few weeks. They tend to release information sometime in June!

I don't know if there's any relation but... for WDW Halloween party tickets also tier based on anticipated demand, here are the price ranges showing how much they hiked in price this year.

2015 adult tickets, advance purchase mid Oct $74
2016 adult tickets, advance purchase mid Oct $91(tues)-$95(fri)

The hike in WDW was so large I went on Disney's website to see it for myself, it's accurate. In general it was a small price hike ($4) for the most unpopular nights but an absolute kick in the teeth for anyone who wants to be at WDW's Magic Kingdom parties closer to Halloween. Obviously I'm not saying DL will do this. What I am saying is here is how high they might potentially go up.

You can find the thread here. You definitely don't have to read all of the pages but the first few posts have a wealth of information. Hope it helps.

You cannot purchase them day of so don't plan on doing that. They sell out months before hand!

I
When we first started going to the party is was at DCA and it was so much fun!!! it would be great fun to experience it there one more time
Love DL more and thought I wanted it there but we have been to a Halloween party there so that would actually be kind of cool to experience one over at DCA.

We let our APs go this year, since we had some other trips. I am planning on bringing the family to a Halloween Party, and I am budgeting $100/pp. It will probably be a couple dollars less? But I paid $77 last year - DVC and AP discounts no good on the Friday I went, and I'm expecting that to be the case again. We have been every year since it moved ?back? to DL and it would be fun to try it at DCA. I would miss the Haunted Mansion overlay and maybe Ghost Galaxy (assuming they are doing that this year). But my kids love Tower of Terror and California Screamin. Maybe they can add spooky music to a Grizzly River Run night time ride - I would LOVE that!!!!

I think it would be interesting to see what the Halloween Party would look like over in DCA, but I kind of doubt they'll move it over to DCA this year. I was thinking it would cost more money for them to get decorations for DCA, figure out a replacement show for Halloween Screams fireworks, figure out a replacement for the rides with overlays (HMH and SMGG) (even if its just in terms of the advertising), and figure out how to reconfigure the party to fit into DCA that they're more likely to keep the party in DL.

In terms of the closures in DL, while the Rivers of America area is being worked on, they could still use the front portion of the river (which isn't drained at this point) as a backdrop (like they have in the past) and depending on where the Mark Twain/Columbia are located, they could still use them for a backdrop to the character meet and greet. The Cadaver Dans are a bit more unknown, but they might still be able to float a raft around the front portion of the river or they could re-locate them somewhere else in the park. The Big Thunder Trail is closed, but they could easily move Mickey & Minnie somewhere else and aside from some atmospheric music/lighting, the trail wasn't really heavily used during MHP.

Holy smokes! That's quite the increase. That's about the cost of a day ticket!

Warning I'm going:offtopic: ;) Get this then- a 1 day ticket to Disney World's Magic Kingdom is $110. A party ticket for Halloween night is $105.

That's just crazy talk! lol

I hope Disneyland doesn't get that crazy with the Halloween tickets. I was thinking that because of all the construction, they wouldn't raise the prices for the Halloween party. But then I remembered that they raised the admission price (I believe twice) already when they knew that a portion of the park was going to be under construction, so why wouldn't they raise the rates for the Halloween party?

It's only money.... Ya gotta pay to play.

Yup!!! Going to a MHP is getting more expensive each year.
$$$ ChaChing $$$

I would pay the price increased if they allowed us to be in costume, do we know if that is going to be possible for the adults?

Adults can still wear costumes to MNSSHP in WDW, albeit with stricter guidelines, so I am thinking that it's likely DLR will still allow costumes for adults during the party with the new stricter guidelines as well. No promises obviously since things are, and have been in the past, different at Mickey's Halloween Party from the way they are at MNSSHP. But I think there is a lot of hope in the possibility.
