Mickey's face is up!

I was just looking at the hojo webcam and Mickey's face is up on the Sunwheel or whatever they're calling it now. I like it!

Can you see the sun on CA Screamin' from the webcam, too? There were pics of that nearly finished on Mouseplanet this week and I thought it looked really cute! We may head over this weekend, I can't wait to see it!

My wife and I are going down to Disneyland for the last week of May and we can't wait. We went for one day at the end of January, but did get a good look at the changes because we were there at night. I could tell that they were painting it a different color, but that was about it. I did'nt get a chance to see the Blue Sky Cellar either.

I couldn't but someone else was in control of the camera, and when it was my turn to take over, all I could see was black.

When we were there on Saturday, it was just the shape of Mickey's head and it was all white and it stood out a lot, I'm sure his whole face is very eye catching.

I prefer Mickey in the loop of California Screamin'. I just thought it was a really creative idea. But, given that they decided to move it, I like what it looks like now.

Ditto. I really liked the MM outline on screamin' much, much better. It was especially pretty at night.

I think that it looks wonderful. While I always thought that the sun looked neat, I like the idea that they put Mickey's face up there. It makes me think of the picture they used to show before his animated shorts.

I hear that they are also getting rid of the Golden Gate bridge that they have there, is that true? I'm kind of sad that I'll be missing those touches like the bridge and the sun that made it more California themed. I am a die-hard Cali girl!

Yeah the plan is to eventually get rid of the gate. As of when im not sure. It will probably come down when they start rebuilding the main gates for DCA. I believe they pushed the dates back for the entrance for awhile yet, so no set date to give out.

The bridge is definetly going away and as a Bay Area Native, I'm also sad to see it go but the pictures of the re-theme look soooo much better then the way it is now so I'll definetly be able to live with the change.

I'll be there tomorrow for a short visit so I will definitely check out the new wheel decor. Wonder if they are taking any PP pix with it in the background? Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

I think the Mickey head looks nice. Just wish they'd leave the loops as a Mickey head too. Can never have too many Mickey's!
