Mickeys Christmas party- how do we go?

I've been told i have to go, but to not do the parks so my kids will make it- maybe we'll shop in orlando area that morning and then nap and head over..but

how do we get in? Can we buy tix in advance? Where/when/how? Are the dates for December published yet?

The tickets went on sale the end of April last year and that is when we knew the dates as well. A couple weeks later, you could buy them online as well. You can also buy them when you get down there but run the risk of it being sold out. I believe it's also a little cheaper buying them before you go down to WDW.

It's usually held on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday throughout December ending the week before Christmas. Fridays sell out first.

We've done it 3 times and will probably do it a few more! It's great fun. Nothing like MK at night with the decorations and shows. Then there's the snow falling on Main Street during the Christmas parade. Then there's the free photo and hot choc and cookies. There's lots of characters around too.

It's a whole lot of fun!

We were lucky enough to attend MVMCP this past December, and I cannot tell you how absolutely wonderful it was. We definitely avoided a weekend party. I think we went on a Thursday in early December. We didn't book our trip til October, and we had no trouble getting tickets for our night. Now, the people who sell the tickets will tell you that it starts at 7pm. Well, that's sort of true. In reality, you can get to the MK at 4 and enter through a specially marked gate without using a park hopper--just your party ticket is needed. You will be given a wristband. You can do whatever you wish til 6 when the MK shuts down for 1 hour. Anyone without a wristband must leave, and those going to the party must head over to Tomorrowland for the hour 6p-7p.

The park is truly magical with special lighting on the castle, the snow on mainstreet, and the X-mas decorations.

I will never forget it as long as I live. The parade was just amazing, as was Wishes. If I could blink myself back in time, that's where I'd go!!

I'm jealous. I want to go back!!

PS: We did NOT do any theme parks this day. We played around the hotel and tried to get the kids to rest beforehand. Tried being the operative word.

I am so glad you loved it- I'm excited! Even about the snow on Main Street- although I am sick of real snow! lol
