Mickeys BBQ - in time for fireworks?

We have ADRs for Mickey's Backyard BBQ on Tuesday, 9/18 at 6:30 p.m. Will we have enough time to get back to MK for fireworks? (Or even MGM for their fireworks at 8:00 p.m.? I'm up for anything, as long as it is fireworks!)

I totally didn't take into account the fireworks when I made all the ADRs. My kids are CRANKY CRANKY CRANKY if they've been up all day with no nap and it comes to be 9:00 p.m. I don't think we can make a 9:00 fireworks show at Epcot. I dread being around the boys when that is over (and they are too big to fall asleep on my shoulder!)

Mickey's BBQ runs from 6:30-8:30.

Parade started at 9:00 - got there in plenty of time.
Just keep in mind that the whole crowd there (as well as many Hoop-De-Doo'ers) will be on the dock waiting for boats out of Ft. Wilderness.

2 pieces of advice:
If you leave RIGHT when they announce that they will be doing the finale (and you skip the finale) you will have a much easier time getting out and making it to anything else you may want to get to. The finale is cute though, so you may decide you don't want to skip it. We stayed when we went in Oct, but skipped it last month to make sure we made it to Spectro.

Also, when you leave, there are 2 boats - the line on the left goes back to Magic Kingdom, the one on the right goes to the Contemporary. The boats are kind of small-ish, so you may have to wait for a few boats if the line is really long. BUT, if you want to go to MK, it may be quicker (believe it or not) to take the boat to the Contemporary, then the monorail to MK. We heard/saw a few people do that - don't know if they actually made it there faster. Sometimes with little ones, it may be better to be "on the way" somewhere rather than just standing around waiting for the boat even if it takes a little longer, KWIM?
