Mickey's Backyard BBQ

Hey all!
I was just wondering if any one knew anything about this? In the book it says that it is seasonal... when does that mean they hold it we are going in october and pretty much my whole family loves BBQ weve done the hoop dee doo a few times but have never tried this but would love to... any info would be awesome

Hi Jill,

I see you're from the Boston area also. Have you ever attended a private party in the picnic grove at Canobie Lake park? If so, you'll have a pretty good idea of what's in store at Mickey's BBQ. It's a buffet, so first of all, if you have small children, that can be a challenge. When we went, seating was at picnic tables. You have a roof overhead, but no sides to the building, so heat and bugs can be an issue. Character interraction was pretty good as they limit the number of tickets sold and my kids had a great time line dancing with the country band. Unlike Hoop Dee Doo, I've never heard of anyone doing the BBQ more than once.

i have to agree w/TammiMcMan. never heard of those doing it more than once. and just the opposite of the heat and bugs, we did it in december and it was chilly and damp!

Ditto - not my favorite show. We do HDDR every year - did the BBQ once, that was enough.
