I've seen refernce to Mickey's Backyard BBQ a few times on the board. Was wondering if anyone could us the who, what, when & where's about it and any experiences there. We may want to visit there on our pending trip in June! Thanks in advance!

Hi

I was wondering is someone when commenting on Mickey's BBQ, could compare it to Chip & Dale's Marshmallow Roast. I read that I can get hot dogs and pizza at Chip & Dale's, so if my kids are really small (read picky) eaters am I better off just saving the money and going to Chip & Dale's?

thanks

There is some info on BBQ on resturant board. Try a search or repost. I have read them and decided to try it with 2yo dd in 2 weeks. I don't think she is ready for "show" like Hoop de do or poly but this sounds fun for a little one.

We went to the BBQ last November and it was fun. There is a lot of picnic food and they encourage you to eat a lot. Hotdogs, chicken, corn on the cob, salads, etc. There also is as much beer/wine/soda as you can drink. Entertainment is Country Western themed with a pretty good band, line dancing instructions, a guy who does rope tricks, some slap stick style comedy, and character meet and greets with Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale. It was expensive, but when you factor in a whole evening of entertainment, I personally think it was worth it.

back in 1999. It was fun. There is a lot going on. On the way in, you have the opportunity to have family's picture taken (of course, they are for sale for a nominal fee). The food is pretty good - and it's all you can eat. Ribs, hot dogs, beans, corn, watermelon...kind of 4th of July fare. There's a band, dancing, rope tricks and a special visit from Mickey, Minnie, and others. The kids seemed to love it. And, so did us adults.

I'd recommend it highly. It's a nice evening. The location is Fort Wilderness Campground.

fun fun fun!

You may be able to get even more answers on the resturant board so I am going to move it there for you.
