Has anyone been to it? Is it any good? Just managed to get a reservation for it, but realised a bit too late that it is on the same day that we have lunch at Akershus, so I am considering which one to cancel...:confused3

We love it. But we are a family of five with 3 young children between 3 and 9 years. The food is a buffet of BBQ and there is dancing with the characters. But there is a lot of people and children. So if your children are very young and shy ( mine aren't now) they may be a little overwhelmed by the amount of people on the dance floor to interact with the characters. We have been twice, once last year when my children all had a lot of fun. But when my two oldest were younger and we went about 4 years go, they were too timid to go run see Mickey and friends through the crowd of kids

We enjoyed the food. It is all you can eat and drink. Ribs, corn on the cob, burgers, ice cream treats, etc.

It depends on if you prefer more of a loud experience, as the princess dinner is definitely more low key with a very different menu. Also the princess dinner means you need to have park tickets, but the BBQ requires 2 uses if you are on the Disnry dining plan. You didn't mention if you have kids or not and what their ages are

We went last month with our 4 kids (ages 8-16) and we weren't really impressed with it. We had a hard time seeing the stage and my kids became disengaged. The food was great and the free beer was better :rotfl:

We are glad we did it, just to say we have, but I doubt we will go back.

We are a family of 4: 2 adults, a 4yr old girl and a baby. My husband is very keen on the bbq, and i am really not sure how the 4yr old will react to characters at all - it'll be a new experience to all of us:)

Ditto this we have 3 kids ages 4-7 they did not like this because they arent the type to get up and dance with a crowd of kids.

I wont do this again but if you have the type of kids that enjoy the dance parties and other very interactive character experiences I think it is a lot of fun.

Here is a picture to give you an idea of the interaction:
