What is your opinion on this? Would you do it or not and why? I am thinking about doing this next year. I know it takes 2 DDP credits, does that include the tip too like it does at HDD?
TIA

I don't remember about the tip...sorry.

But we had a great time there. The kids loved dancing with all the characters and the entertainment. We enjoyed the food there as well. I think i ate 3 mickey head ice creams that night too.

Our reservations made on line now state dinning plan not accepted. At time of booking and after speaking with a live person (after making on line reservation) the DDP was accepted. Time to call a live person to figure this one out.

Our family loved it!

Yes, the dining plan is accepted and tip is included. When you get there, they will take your picture and somehow they find you and ask if you want to buy it! that is the only thing you might need money for once inside.

Im not a fan of country music, or buffets, or mass produced burgers and dogs...but I really had a blast here. My kids did not have to sit quietly to watch the show, though they did because they were so entertained by the rope tricks! The house band was fabulous. Anyone and everyone can get up on the dance floor. I had more laughs watching some people "try" to line dance!! Some Disney characters came out for dancing and autographs. We ate at a table with another family and for me, it was enjoyable to briefly talk to other adults after only having conversations with my own family for days and days!

I thought I would hate this place. I only did it because we had done the other dinner shows and I thought my boys might enjoy the rope tricks.. and, we had TS credits to burn. Turned out we all loved it there and I am going back 2 weeks from today!!!

I have not been to this show. We plan on going in 2011. I am interested in any info. as well! :goodvibes I wondered if it was worth 2 vredits as well!:thumbsup2

I am so glad to hear a positive review. We are going for the first time in November. We always do the HDD, but I am a little burned out on that...
I hope my kids like it as much as yours did!

Never been here, but was wondering if the setup is outdoors or is it covered?

And what days of the week do they do it? If we go in Sept, will the BBQ still be going on?

It is outdoors under a large pavillion. We went last year. My 3yo loved it! Its worth it just to see them have a blast. I found the food to be not very good at all, except mickey ice cream bars. They do provide some beer but I don't drink.
The entertainment is great. Its a bit crazy when kids are dancing and parents trying to get pictures and keep track of their little ones with the chractersall around. Don't try to get autographs, they don't do them.
Kids get to sit up front and watch rope trick guy. They also do a congo line around pavillion (i accidentally temporarily lost my son during this, but he was fine :)

Overall I enjoyed it. I would do it again if I had the extra money and time for it. Although if I was tight on money, mk and hs have dance parties with characters that my son loves to go to as well.

Our kids love MBYBBQ. They love dancing with the characters and the all you can eat mickey bars and other ice cream at the end. The food is okay. Beer and Wine are included, as well as gratuity. We have gone the past 3 years and will be going twice on our next trip, because that is what DS wanted for his birthday trip!

We want to do this on our trip next year too.
Still trying to decide if I want to use our DDP credits (we'll have free DDP) or just pay OOP. :confused3

I'm examining my options if I upgrade to the DxDP and was considering this. All Ears says this is part of the 2011 DDP and it costs 2 credits. I was looking at the information, though, and it says it must be pre-paid. Is it considered pre-paid if you are using DDP or do you have to get ressies with a credit card and then switch to credits once you're there?

When you make your ADR for this just mention you are on the diing plan. If you do your ADR online, majke sure its attached to your reservation. The system will know you are on the dining plan. You will have to enter your CC info, but they never charge you.

Thank you for the information and thank you for the pictures! We are going without little ones, but this still looks like fun to me. We like the shows at Silver Dollar City so I'm thinking we might like this, as well.

Has anyone done this in Late August? We are going down in 2011 and worried about heat and bugs if its outdoors.Do they have fans etc?

Not worth 2 credits thats for sure.

1) I would go further and call it a 2TS rip-off.
2) It has never really been worth its price.

NOTE: Yes, I know this sounds harsh, but it really isn't worth it. It is fun, but for 1/3 the price.

We've been twice. Once in Aug and once in Oct. Aug was hot, but tolerable. We weren't attacked by bugs. I always have my kids rank our meals (8 character meals on the last trip). They both ranked this #1 (DD6, DS8).

Thanks! I can tell from videos on youtube my DD7 would LOVE it was just worried about late aug :) so hopefully we can get an ADR here when we can begin booking:cool1:
