I am getting such bad feedback on Micke'y backyard BBQ. People tellling me i was crazy for cancelling my HDDR reserv. for the BBQ. Is it really that bad? I've been to HDDR and i think for the ages of my kids 2, 4,5 and how they are, they would enjoy BBQ more just bc I think to expect them to sit nicely and watch a show would be a lot. Also, i feel like it might be too loud for them and they probably won't "get" it. With the BBQ i think it will be good that they can acceptably run around a little more and blow some steam off. Has anyone really enjoyed the BBQ?

I definitely wouldn't regret that decision, especially since you have done HDDR before. We have done Mickeys Backyard BBQ twice before and my kids love it. The first time DS was 18 months, DD was 4. Last time DD was 6 and DS was 2. We are returning this fall for DS's 4th birthday trip, and when I asked where he wanted to go for his birthday trip, his first request was Mickeys BBQ. Both kids love it so much and we are on the Deluxe DDP that we are actually going twice on this next trip - much to DHs dismay. He'd rather eat elsewhere but I think it is okay.

As long as have an idea what to expect (a little chaotic, decent food nothing fancy, no autographs from characters etc) your kids are the perfect age to appreciate it (IMO).
