Has anyone got any first hand opinions about this character meal? I have three kids 10,8, and 4 and it sounds like fun, but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks David

Yeah I would like to know if it is worth doing. I have no kids but I gota eat so :confused3

The character iteraction is pretty good. The BBQ is a buffet and seating is really long picnic tables. The characters will walk up and down the aisles for photo ops and autographs. There is also an opportunity to get up and dance with some of the characters during the "hoe down" they have during the BBQ. A live band performs. My girls were 13 and 11 on our last trip and both really enjoyed themselves. Although if left to them they'd rather go to Hoop De Doo.

We went with our ds3 and dd4....let me say that it was more than we expected:goodvibes Our kids loved every minute...If you go, be sure to grab a table close to the dance floor first. Food and entertainment was great....BEER was flowing and included in price! :drinking1 Alot of character time and did I mention BEER!:cool1:

I don't know when your going but, we will be there a week from today. Maybe i can report in when i get back. I hope its fun. I'm taking 5 kids. :confused3

We went last December and it was a blast! Our kids who are 11, 8 & 6 loved it! It was very entertaining, character interaction was fantastic and the food was alright. We learned some new dances and in general had a really great time!

Sounds like fun. I don't think I can wait another week. I might sleep in the TT tonight just to make it seem closer.

Don't think we haven't done that. We're easily amused. Sleep in your driveway and start a campfire in the frontyard. Good thing we live way back in the sticks.:rotfl:

Well, I could get away with starting a fire in my backyard... and my trailer is in back... hmmm... :rotfl2:

Oh my goodness! We do too! We have a fire pit in our backyard....WAY in our back yard! You can hardly see the house. We love to go back there and roast hot dogs and marshmallows and then sleep in the camper! Great fun! IMO, it is nice to be easily amused~You are never bored!

:rotfl2: I just realized we are practically neighbors! We're from the NRV! We should meet up at Claytor Lake sometime!

Omg, I thought we were the only weirdos that did that!!!! LOL Don't have the fire pit, but hmmmmm..... sounds like fun.

Right now the TT is parked next door at my dads, our drive way is 800' long and up hill, and when we got back from the fort, last month, there was 6" of snow. So its down there, but we are going to make a nice big level pad for it behind the shop in the back yard, with electric and water .... and now a fire pit... thanks guys.

PP, OMG!! I live on the backside of Claytor Lake back in the Country. (Not exactly on the lake. I Wish. But 5 min. from it.) We live at the lake in the summer. Would love to meet up. Wow!! Small World.

Hey! We live so close that when we start those campfires in our yard we can send smoke signals to each other.

Come on kc5grw you know you want to try it. I bet your gathering sticks out of yard as we speak. (or type)

You guys crack me up. Up here we don't even have a fire pit, you just make a pile on the ground and go to town! We LOVE having bonfires. We send the kids out into the woods and they come back with half a tree, and then lighter up!:lmao:

We don't necessarily have a fire pit either. Sometimes the campfire is just the brush pile thats needed to be burned for 6 months. That turns into a bunch of kids coming over and a campout. I love it. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I love it, too! I want to be the mom that always has the neighborhood kids over, climbing trees, baking cookies, doing crafts.

To keep this thread on topic.....we could always have a Mickey BBQ in our backyard!;)

I'll try to send you smoke signals :rotfl2: although, not today....too overcast!

Well, I'm off to Church! Chat at you later! :goodvibes

MBB in the backyard would be great. My husband can be goofy, 6ft 7in. with big ears the kids wouldn't know the difference. I'm sure we could fix some down home food.

Well, i'm off to chuch as well. We may need to move to the chit chat thread later.
