I know that some of the statues are making their way to Boston. Does anyone know exactly WHERE and WHEN? I thought I'd read it here somewhere but know I can't find it.

Today on my way to work, I saw a truck with 75 Mickeys stuff all over it, headed west out of Boston on the Mass Pike (around Framingham). I was also headed west, so I took my time passing it. It was sort of a neat truck but there's no way they could all fit in there. There was also a Ryder emblem on it, and a much larger (plain) Ryder truck right ahead of it, so perhaps both trucks were used. I hadn't kept up with this thread, so I was afraid they were on their way out of town and I missed it. Given the dates I now see in this thread, it was curious to see it there now.

I see now having gone to the web site that not all 75 statues will be in Boston (nor will they ALL be in any one city from the looks of it). It looks like we are getting Ben Affleck's statue (being the local boy, I guess), the Lobsta statue and 13 others. 15 of those might have been able to fit into the truck I saw, but again, it does seem early to be trucking them here if the display is not for 3 more weeks.

I saw the Mickey statues at the shareholders' meeting in Philadelphia. I did enjoy seeing the different ideas for Mickey. If they make a stop in your area, I recommend taking a look.

RWODONNELL -

I know they'll be at Faneuil Hall on May 22 thru sometime in June. I wonder where they were going out the Pike AWAY from Boston?

How strange is it with ALL of these DIS folks that we'd reply to the same thread?! (Note the location)

That's neat, we're transplanted to this area, but we like it in Burlington.

I have no idea why that truck would have been there, west bound to boot, when it was. I would have loved to somehow communicate with that driver and asked him the scoop. I guess we'll never know.

The Disney Visa newsletter said we're getting all 75 here in DC! I don't remember the dates, but sometime early in 2005.

It may be too early in the morning for me, but where in Philadelphia are they going to be?

The statues have been divided into groups of 15 and are touring the country. They just arrived on State street in Chicago and will be here until july 20.

For those of us who don't live somewhere where this statues will be visiting all the photos of them are on the link posted above.(In someone's post uptop) I had a great time looking at all of them! They are all so cool.

For all of you New Englanders out there, The Lobsta Mickey was designed by a 13 yr old young lady who chose the Boston Arts Academy to benefit from the auction of it!
Boston Arts Academy is Boston's High School for the Visiual and Performing Arts!

Boston has 15 of the Mickey's on display in Fanieul Hall

Stop by, they are really something!

Hi,
Going to go and see the ones in Boston in a few weeks. Was curious if there is anything for sale that tie in with them? Just curious.

Thanks

I just received the VISA newsletter. It states to ALL of the 75 Mickeys will be coming to Washington DC.

Just returned from Atlanta. Some of the Mickey's are in and outside of the Underground. I knew I should have brought my camera with me! I loved looking at them!

Mickey's are currently on display through July 20th in the Walnut Plaza at Penn's Landing. I know for sure that the Mickey that Lenox created will be in Philly. Dh works for Lenox and he got a press release the other day from Corporate about the Mickey display.

I hope to make it down there over father's day weekend.
