My friend went to WDW last month and said she got wake up call from Mickey. We are going to be at WDW in late may, and I was wondering if this is year round or not? Also how do you request this?

If you are staying at a Disney Resort there is a button on your phone labeled "wake up call", if not on the phone instructions are located on a card next to the phone. Yes, it is year round.

If staying offsite Disney used to have a program where you could pay for a character to call you or your child for a birthday or a vacation wake up call, don't know if this program is still available, it was on the Disney website.

Yes, it is available all year long. However, when we were there in September it was Stitch yelling in your ear every day and the one time I listened to it in full (I could not stand the screaming at 5:30 or 6:00 a.m.), Mickey came on at the end. I stopped using it and used my phone alarm.

I agree that the Stitch portion was really annoying, but DD3 loved getting a call from Mickey every morning when we were at the Poly.

I also had Mickey call on Christmas Day after she found out we were going again. I'm surprised you didn't all hear the shrieks; she was so excited.

The character call is randomly generated and you are not guaranteed a particular character will call you . . . . . . . . .

I am glad others do not like Stitch very much either-he is annoying. This past trip the different wake calls I experienced was music to POC & the Haunted Mansion, Stitch and Mickey.

When we stayed at Coronado Springs in December 2006, we were called by Stitch, JoJo's Circus, the Tiki Birds, and someone else who I have forgotten. I read somewhere on the boards to request your wake-up call for an odd time such as 7:23 or 7:24 not at a time that ends with 0 or 5 - supposably this will give you the best chance of getting Mickey.

We haven't used wakeup calls the last few trips because Stitch was too annoying, we'll have to give it another try. thanks!

Oooooooo, This sounds like fun. I'll have to remember to do this when we go in September.:goodvibes

We haven't had anyone but Stitch call for the last few years. I thought that was all there was. I remember reading that if you put an odd time (like 6:42) you would get Mickey but when I tried that the system just kept trying to give me an operator so I didn't bother.
