Did I see pics of Mickey waffles from someone's reception? What menu is that on ...or is that a special request/substitution? We are doing a brunch buffet in the attic. What other foods did you love from your brunch receptions?

I would love to see this too. We are getting married at 10 & I love breakfast food so I want to have the brunch buffet as well. And since we cant afford to have Mickey there, I think everyone would get a kick out of Mickey waffles

We didn't have Mickey waffles, but two huge hits at our brunch were the omelet and crepe stations :thumbsup2

We also requested the au gratin potatoes from Cinderella's Royal Table and a special pasta that I love from Crystal Palace - chicken caesar pasta. You can kind of see both of them in this shot.

We are also going with a modified Tinker Bell Brunch Buffet. Of course, we had to add the mini Mickey waffles, Mickey-roni and cheese, a parmesan-crusted chicken breast, and a tropical fruit salad from another menu. Yummy!! We can't wait to eat it! :yay:

Thanks for the pics of the omelet and crepe station!!

We had Mickey waffles!

They were on the brunch menu we picked. Nowadays they have a global set of menus that you can get at any location (ours was specific to the BoardWalk), so this exact configuration might not be among them, but you can just customize your menu to have whatever you want:

We had...

Assorted Two Chilled Juices
Sliced Seasonal Fresh Fruits and Berries Display with a Mango Coulis
Assortment of Individual Fruit Yogurts
Farm Fresh Scrambled Eggs with Cheddar Cheese

Your Choice of Two:
Traditional Bacon
Country Sausage Patties
Beef & Pork Kielbasa
Applewood Smoked Turkey Sausage

Crisp Hash Brown Potatoes with Fresh Herbs
Mini Mickey Waffles Served with Maple Syrup, Strawberry and Blueberry Toppings
Selection of Bagels with Cream Cheese and Flavored Cream Cheeses*
Baskets of Freshly Baked Breakfast Pastries Served with Butter, Preserves and Marmalade*
Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee and a Selection of Hot Teas

* We had these served during the pre-reception so that we didn't have to buy more food. It was PLENTY. One guest actually thought that was the main meal! :rotfl:

Ooohhh, I love that pasta. Your menu sounds exactly like what I want! Where was your reception?

We had Mickey waffles at our breakfast buffet at the Attic too!! (I saw them in Lurkyloo's TR and just had to have them!) I would recommend having them as an action station though, so that they are freshly made right in front of your guests.

When we went down for our planning session, we also had a tasting session. The chef recommended that we go for an action station with the waffles (and we also had eggs benedict as an action station) so that they would be super fresh and hot. He said it was the only way he would recommend it so that they would be up to his standards. (I thought it was cute that he was so serious about Mickey waffles!) Anywho, we went for it, and they were delicious! Everyone was raving about how they were the best waffles they'd ever had. SO fresh and hot!!

HTH!! :goodvibes

Our reception was at Living Seas Salon since we had an early ceremony at the American Adventure Rotunda we decided to stay inside the park.

Our guests really loved the action stations, they really add quite a bit and they make it look like you spent a lot more money on the food, lol.

We even requested extra things on the stations including special cheese, sausage, and then peaches for the crepes.

We're having a brunch reception and we're doing the Mickey waffle action station and also doing an omelet station. In addition to the other stuff on the Gaston menu (we swapped out the crepes for the omelets) we've also added Mickey-roni and cheese. :thumbsup2

Are your changes (ie. adding and action station) costing you extra money? If yes, how much? Is it possible to have mickey waffles and crepes at the same station? Thanks!

Jspahn- if you don't mind me asking, what was the per person $$ for this brunch? I am looking to do something similar. ( sorry if this posted 2x stupid iPhone!)

jspahn ~ I love how you had Tonga Toast, what a great idea!

thanks - i love it and I really wanted our guests to try it!

It was $72 pp. We did a BOC bar, which really worked to our favor because our guests hardly drank since it was early in the day!
