We were planning to eat all our breakfasts in our condo, but the idea of maybe getting gluten-free and egg-free Mickey waffles is tempting! My 5 year old and I can never order anything interesting at breakfast restaurants at home and I have heard some places in Disney can do the Mickey-shaped waffles in a GF/EF version. Anyone had any experiences with this? Where did you eat them and were they good? Do any character (non-princess...I have boys) breakfasts offer these? We have limited time in the parks and I just can't seem to decide if it is worth it to sit down and do breakfast with the characters or elsewhere just to be able to eat something yummy at breakfast for a change!

We love the allergy waffles. They use Bob's Red Mill gluten free mix and either apple sauce or Ener-G egg replacer instead of eggs, depending on the chef.

Every resort food court we've tried has been able to make the Mickey waffles for us. The only TS breakfasts I know of that don't serve the allergy Mickey waffles are CRT, CP and Akershus who serve Van's waffles.

Our favorite character breakfast is 1900 Park Fare. Chef TJ will take care of you wonderfully. He really made things special for my kids. I don't know how old your boys are, but my kids love the characters there (including my son.) It's Mary Poppins, Alic & the Mad Hatter, Pooh & Tigger.

Our favorite is the Cape May or the Ohana's breakfast.

We no longer go to CP for breakfast becasue I refuse to may that price for frozen waffles.

Another option is Chef Mickey's. They have the basic Mickey Mouse family of characters and it's easy to get to from MK. I've heard increasing complaints about the quality of the food at CM's, but for your case the waffles, fruit, and bacon would be the same as any of the other places so I wouldn't dismiss it.

We just got back on the 22nd of September from a wonderful trip . We ate two of the best meals of our trip at 1900 Park Fare at The Grand Floridian. My daughters both have allergies. One two peanut, tree nuts, and sesame seeds. The other one too milk and egg, but because of not knowing about her allergy when she was little we would try to feed her food that would make her sick so she is reluctant to try new food. She loved the gluten free egg free waffles. The chefs were awsome. It is now a must do for us each trip. Well worth it for my little princess.:cheer2:
