I know this is a really bad question but mrs pinkgurl has been after a mickey waffle maker and we have a bunch of Disney gift cards we were going to use on our anniversary cruise and well to make a long story short, we just wanted to use a few of them up. You can't get anything electric here and I'm going on a limb but I think it's because of the CSA standard. Without starting a huge debate here, insert grin, anyone ever figure out a way around this?

I'm assuming you want to buy it from Shop Disney and ship to Canada? Use a freight forwarding company (I recently used Planet Express). We have two different mickey waffle makers, one we bought from Amazon (Canada) and the other we brought back from Florida (it was a gift in a fish extender exchange on a cruise if you can believe it!)

I picked up a Darth Vader pancake maker from Publix and took it home, no problems.

I have honestly never heard of this being an issue for any electrical appliance that meets US standards.

While I was unable to purchase one through ShopDisney (they won‘t ship anything to our address in NS) but I found the exact Mickey Waffle Maker I wanted at our local Wal-Mart! Even better, it was marked down to $45 and in CAD, at that. Same one was selling upwards of $75 USD. It’s the one that flips over and makes 6 small Mickey waffles at a time. Love it!!!

Was that waffle maker bought recently or quite a while ago?

I found it almost exactly a year ago now. I had never seen this one in a WalMart before, nor have i ever seen another. I took it as a sign of real Disney magic that I was really meant to have it! LOL. I already had the one that makes a single larger Mickey-shaped waffle.

WalMart was clearing out a lot of small appliances. I bought a 1 qt Frozen crockpot for $7 that same day and had to restrain myself from grabbing a $5 single cup coffee maker.

Thanks! I have never seen that one in Walmart either. You definitely got some Disney magic there!!!

Good thing you didn’t get the single cup coffee maker.....that would have definitely broke your Disney vacation fund!!! 😂
