Does anyone know if Disney sells any kind of Mickey topiary at the Flower and Garden Festival? I am looking for a nice sized one to put into a flower bed at home.

What a great question! That would be a cool addition to a Disney lover's garden. Interested to hear if it's available.

They had them last year. I have not been this year, so I can say for sure one way or the other, but I have seen them multiple times. I'd say adds are good they have them again this year.

One booth that sold them was near the old McD's french fry booth. (If you know where that was). Kinda between FW and Canada.

This year could be different, but the booth has been in that location at least twice in recent years.

The topiaries are wire, and I think the plant covering them was ivy. (according to my vague recollection) They had several characters. tome, they looked more like an indoor kind of thing, but I suppose it depends where you live. I think perhaps you could move them indoors part of the year if need be. It also looked to me like you could replace the plants if need be, by training new ones to grow on the frame.

If they have them there were not out for the start of the festival. I would have bought one had they been there.

They had statues
They had reflective things that hang in a tree with Disney cutouts
They had rain gauges with Disney themes
They had a rock (fake) with Welcome and Mickey on it (which is what I brought home)

I saw them the on March 14 but they are small maybe 16 -20 inches tall.

I have the ones they used to sell at he Disney Store that are3-4 ft, however they are artifical, but everyone comments on them and ask me if they are real. It takes years to train the real ones. They are so cute....I have Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy

Sorry to disappoint you AngiTN, but this photo was taken at 11:49 on March 6th..the first day of this year's F&G festival.

World Showcase Promenade, near the Dole Pineapple booth.

12 inches tall.

They are not cheap.

Do you know how much they were? My brother will be there April 16-23 and I would love to have him bring me one back.
We'll be there after the festival ends May 27-June 5 and I'm afraid they won't be available then.

Thanks!
Carla

I bought the wire frame at F&G two years ago - they were selling both the empty frame and planted ones. It was great as we were able to take the wire frame home and then create the topiary by stuffing with sphagum moss and putting a creeping plant that works well in our area.

If I remember correctly, that sign in the bottom left corner of the picture says they are $300.

Good Gravy Granny... $300 is just a bit much for one that is only 12 inches tall. Any chance that is a mistake? :scared1:

I can see why one would buy the empty frame if this is the case!!! How much is the empty frame $250?

I guess I will have to pass on topiary Mickey....

Thanks!
Carla

I'll see if I can see a price in my photos tonight, but $300 seems awfully high. I thought they were closer to $39.95. I'm not sure either, but I'm pretty sure they were less than $50.

We saw them and I don't remember them being $300... I remember them being much cheaper.

We saw it on Day 1 of the Flower Festival. Are you ready for the sticker shock?
I took a picture of the price because I couldn't believe my eyes. :rotfl2:
They are $400 each!
By the way, I don't see "Minnie Mouse" there.

Maybe wait until they become Limited time magic of some week....

Is there anyway a larger Mickey and Minnie could be sitting around this display? There is no way these things could be $400. How many could they possibly sell at that price?

Carla

I can see that price for the whole kit & caboodle.... I've seen mouse frames (just wires, no plants, moss, etc.) on Etsy. Not the offical Disney ones, but they'd work. Or you could search on Youtube for tutorials and create your own cheaper...... I bet we all can figure the general shape::MickeyMo

They must be smoking the sphagnum and the ivy!
