Don't the "people" characters talk? They all have different voices but keep the same theme. Clearly the people characters also have a different look to them (costume aside).

I think the interactive animated characters will happen down the road and I am all for it!

I thought for sure there was some sort of voice processor involved because Mickey said the persons name.

Also there was a posting of a patent application that showed how the friend of Mickey could speak into a microphone in the suit.
