Mickey soaps and shampoos-gone from all resorts or just ASSp?

Just back from ASSp this past weekend. There was only one Mickey soap in the room, and none of the other MM products we've come to expect staying at WDW resorts. Also, the bathtub/shower was equipped with a body gel and shampoo dispenser.

We were at AKL in February and they had the old standbys. Have the resorts all switched? Is this an All Stars only thing?

I believe the dispensers are at the All Stars and all moderates.

Hello Micca!

I do believe this is an All Star/Value Resort thing. We have never received the shampoo at the All Stars. We did get the shampoo at POR last May.

The mods still have the bottles of shampoo and bars of soaps. Only the values went with the cheaper stuff.

I think, like the others have said, that only the All-Stars lack the Mickey toiletries. WL had them, but when we stayed one night at ASMO (for our 4 y.o.) there was only a dispenser.

Whenever Dad stays at the cheap resorts, he requests bottles of shampoo (he takes a bath and the dispensers are not located at a convenient sitting level) and get the typical Mickey bottles. They still have them. You just have to ask for them.

I hate those soap dispencers.....YUCK. I usually bring my own bar of soap, even the little Disney bars aren't great to get real clean and smelling good for the start of a sweaty day.

thats to bad, the first two times my husband and I went to Disney we could not afford to stay at one of the nicer hotels, but staying at the ALL STARS was still staying at Disney and we always felt like we were being treated the same. We got the soap and the shampoos then, I would hate to go now with the cheap dispenser thing - YUCK - even the Comfort Inn down the road gives you a bar of soap - so Whats up with that Mickey?? LOL

when we were at all star jazz,the soap thing in the shower was broken,and our room had no bar soap. it was a good thing i had packed a bar of soap. we only got mickey soap after 3 days of our ten day stay, because dh found a maid's cart and asked her if we could get some soap and she just waved and said if you can find it on the cart,well he did and brought back some to the room.

i was very disappointed that the soap package was the only themeing in the room. after reading here that so many loved the themeing and the magic at the all stars. I don't know what they were refering to,it certainly wasn't in the rooms.

i was really annoyed by all the men on the wall paper in the bathroom,everytime i went in there i felt creepy,what theme was that anyway? it was even worse when i got really really ill to have them all watching,yuck!

some wall paper with the Aristicats on it would have been more disney and jazzy.
