Mickey mouse to be made over! What do you think?

This is something I totally disagree with. What do y'all think?

he's not being made over. try reading an article, not a blog, about this game.

the player gets to make their own choices about the actions mickey takes.

and, as i've said on pretty much every other thread about this, mickey hasn't always been the silly simple facade that he's been watered down to in cartoons today. what about when mickey stole yensid's hat to get out of doing his chores? mickey STARTED as mischievous, and this game's story line dates back to mickey's "birth."

mickey is being brought back to his roots, not being changed.

I'm really excited about it. The game looks great (and with Warren Spector involved I'm sure it will be) and it will be nice to see Mickey get more of a personality again. He originally had so much more depth than he has had in recent years, and I think it would be great if they got back to that image instead of the "one-note" personality he has now. (Not that I don't like him now, but I think this will be an improvement.)

I think it is excellent. Mickey was often a bit naughty in the earliest cartoons, and having a Mickey capable of being well-rounded makes him more than just a corporate logo. And I think it is high time that Disney give its main star some more screen-time. A video game is the good first step.

Geez, why so snippity?

I think the game will be fun, but I agree that I would not want the Mickey that we all know and love to be made over so I'm glad that's not the case.
