Mickey Mouse Shadowbox

Hey y'all! When at the SDV in August, I spotted a MM shadowbox in the gift shop at the Contemporary.
Had to have it! On my blog you can see what I did with it ...

I hope you don't mind but I'm not going to look at yours yet. I'm very good at "lifting" ideas but I want this one to be 100% me.

I have some great ideas but need to buy some supplies at WDW when we go down in Dec. I plan on this being my New Years week project.

OMG! Love the TP rolls!! I knew there was something cool to make w/ those things!!

Really nice job, Marylee. A friend of mine made the tp roll card (although she used paper towel roll cut down. It really looks like. Love the idea of putting in gift cards rather than just tabs.

Distress Ink: which is a stamping ink...by Ranger Ink..

The card (measures about 2.5" x 1.5") comes from a regular card deck I received as a gift probably 5 years ago. I think it came from a dollar store. The container is red plastic with a clear top. They were distributed by the US Playing Card Co. The UPC is 073854011645 if that helps you find one!

The hedgehog is one of 5 that our lab/border collie herds around the house. Petsmart sells them. They have male & female ones with Santa hats on! And if you're wondering how to tell them apart, the female hedgehog has nail polish, blue eyeshadow & eyelashes! She's quite sassy!

Thanks to y'all for your kind remarks. One of the cool things about it is that the mini canvas display can be removed and another inserted into the shadowbox ... there could be a Christmas or Valentine themed one later!

The techniques used aren't hard to do. If you're going to the 2010 SDV and want to dabble with any of them, we could do some make & takes using them!

Buffy, I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with yours! It will be awesome! Tim saw mine; He didn't indicate that he's bought his yet!

I'm starting to save my TP rolls... I think for one of the kids' gifts (its' a family gift) I'm going to put movie tickets in them for all of us....
