Just a curious question, how much are the mickey mouse ears? With your name sewed on them, the plain black ones and the more fancy ones? Does anyone have any idea?

The plain black ears are $9.95 plus tax. There are many different types of ears with the most expensive being around $17.00 plus tax.

You can get your name sewn in them when you buy them at the hat store on main street. I can't remember the name, however it is on the right side, no extra cost last time I went a few years ago.

embroidery is an additional $3 at MK and $8.50 at DHS and DTD

thank you for the info. Oddly enough my 13 year old daughter who is to cool for everything wants to spend her spending money on mickey ears with her name. Can't figure these teenagers out???

What do you mean? Do they check ID??

My nickname is Nikki and I don't use my real name most of the time. My first name isn't even Nicole but middle name is Nicole. Is that okay?

That's fine! Here's a better explanation of what I meant:

Embroidery Instructions: Ears can be personalized only with proper names, up to 10 characters. No unusual nicknames, slang terms, profanity or epithets may be personalized. (Jim is a usual nickname for James, "Dawg" is not). Most titles are acceptable, like Mr. Smith, Dr. Jones, or Miss Davis. Names with initials are OK, for example "J.D.", but last initials can not be embroidered with a name, like "Karen R." We can not embroider numbers, punctuation marks other than periods, company names, or slogans.

Okay! LOL Dawg is not a proper name. I am cracking up over here. :rotfl: :lmao:

Anyone know if you can get any sort of Camo ears?

Take some camo tape with you and do it on the fly! The actual ears are plastic, so the tape will stick to it easily! I stuck a New Orleans Saints logo on mine last time and people asked me ALL DAY where I got them.(So many times I took them off and hid them!)

Disney should start licensing from the NFL and MLB and NCAA and they could do a whole store of nothing but "Sports Ears!"( If they do it, I want a cut of the profits! Hey, it was my idea, right?):cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I think the names are nicer if you get it done at DHS, but the selection of ears was not as good. So you might want to buy the ears you want and take them with to DHS. The ears can not have been worn if you buy them somewhere else. It might be a couple of $$ more and you do have to come back later. I think we came back in an hour. But instead of just a single line of thread you can pick the style of letters and the color. It is nice thick embroidery.
HTH

Does anyone know if these can somehow be purchased with the personalization online? I would love to have them beforehand and surprise my dd's with them.

I was surprised to see Ears on clearance in the large store in DT Disney when we were there 2 weeks ago. They are a polynesian theme and imprinted with palm trees and embroidered with "Relax in Paradise." They had been marked down to $2.99 - a rare bargain in WDW!
