Can you purchase Mickey Mouse Ears beforehand and then have name engraved at the park?
If so, how much is the engraving? Where in the park could you have it done?
Or do you think it would be just the same (cost wise) to buy the ears (w engraving) right there at the park? How much does one cost?

Thank you.

The hats are not very expensive.... just buy them at the parks.
(That way you will be SURE they will do it for you and in a timely manner.)

In MGM: The "Celebrity 5 & 10" store (on the right side of the street about half-way to the huge Sorcerer's Hat).

In MK: On Main Street at "The Chapeau" on the right (opposite the Emporium) after you enter under the train tracks, still in the Flag Pole area, just past Tony's Restaurant. The Chapeau faces the train station.

I know you can do this in the other parks (not sure where, just ask a store CM) and I imagine in the World of Disney or Christmas Shoppe (or some other store) in DTD.

Be sure to stop by and order this to be done FIRST THING as it will take awhile and you can either come back and pick it up later, or have it delivered for your pick-up at the front gate of the park later in the day, or have it sent to your WDW resort (the next day).

I got my DS his on Main St. at the Chapeau. They did them while we waited and it only took a couple minutes. It will depend on how busy they are when you are there though. It was around $8.00 if I remember correctly.

I believe you need to show your receipt in order to have them monogramed, so buying them ahead of time will not work for you. The others are correct - they are not expensive - buy them at the park.

I got my name embroidered onto my Mickey Ears at the Chapeau. We had bought the ears at the resort shop, not realizing there was a large selection of hats there. Silly me. *smacks forehead* It was very quick, the line was short, if there was one at all. We're talking main street shop at night, people.

For some odd reason, I still have the reciept stuffed in my baggallini bag... aha! $2.00, not counting the hat. If only I had that reciept... :rotfl:

There are many varities of ears available. They come out with new types on a regular basis. The basic black ears run $7.99 with tax for youth size and $8.99 for adult size.

The fancier varities such as the pirate and pirate princess ears run around $12.99 plus tax.

There are two types of embroidery available. The basic loop stich in yellow is available for $2 per hat at LeChapeau and Sir Mickey's at MK. There is a fancier embroidery available for $7.46 with tax per hat. You get to pick your font and thread color. It is available at The Days Of Christmas at DTD and Celebrity 5 & 10 at MGM.

Really? Mine was in white thread. They must use whatever they have.

We bought ears for my daughter at the Disney Ocala Welcome Center last summer. We had to take the reciept with us to the MK to get my DD's name sewn in. It was hassle-free.

Where are you guys being charged to have the name put on????? When I went last year, I got the ears at the Emporium and took it accross the street and it was free to have my name put on. I didn't becase the line was over an hour.

There has been no free embroidery since the end of last year.

I've seen both white and yellow. The last time I was at LeChapeau, they were using yellow.
