I just had to share this. We leave on August 13th and it will be my wife and DS2 first time to WDW. We've been working on our son to try to get him to say Mickey Mouse clearer for when we are there but everytime it comes out sounding like Meter Maid. :rotfl2: If we try to have him pronounce it slowly or split it up he insists that it is Meter Maid every time. Anyone else encounter funny soundings from their children.

:rotfl: I like that, I think Mickey probably will too!

My son is 4, he always refers to the Haunted Mansion as the Haunted Mattress (he isn't keen on it either) We've given up correcting him.

On my then 17-month old's first trip, he couldn't get "Mickey" out right either. He would always say "Wickey." So, since I'm a huge fan of Mickey's that's how I got my user name.

My 4 you autistic daughter says Mi - ee (think of the first part of Mister for the pronunciation for the first part)

My 2 yo has a speech delay and Mickey Mouse comes out Mimmee Mow.

My 4 yo who has been talking in complete sentences since he was 18 months insists that a refrigerator is refrigalator. And in the movie Dumbo, the song at the beginning w/ the stork is called,"Watch out for Mr. Snork." No matter how many times I tell him it's stork, he just argues and continues to sing it snork.

That is so funny! My 3 yo DD used to say Mi -ee as well. She has it figured out now, but now she says Mickey for both Minnie and Mickey! LOL

My DDnow 16 (going on 25) used to say "puppy mint" for peppermint when she was 2. We still have puppy mints at our house! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

ahhh. how sweet..
My son when he was 18 months old - 2 years.. every time he saw a horse, he would say "ahh-hoo" -
we would say horsey! He would say "ahh-hoo"
So we would say Hors - he would say Hors, we would say "ey" - he would say "ey"
So I would then say "horsey" - he would say "Ahh-hoo" !! it was so funny..
until one day he came running over with a book in his hand, saying Ahhooo ahhooo - and showing me a picture of Eeyore.... I think it was his name for eeyore all along!!

Ah yes, my sons name for horse is more generated by the noise they make. Everytime we see horses he yells out "hee hee's". My sone also pronounces Eeyore as "Ee Ho".

When my dd was abot 2 she used to call my friends daughter "Harry" her name was Hilarie. Hillarie couldn't say my dd's name, Lizzy, so she called her "Dizzy". So we had Harry and Dizzy for quite awhile. :rotfl2: It was so cute.
