I'm planning on buying 7 fans at the POR gift store for my family. My question is do the batteires last for 8 days or should I bring extra batteries? If so what size batteries?

We didn't use the Disney ones - we used ones from Walmart but never had to change batteries yet we always brought extra batteries. It really does depend how long you use them. You can always buy batteries there if you need them. We love them but don't bring one person. We usually have 3 or 4 fans for 6 to 8 people. We also put a tie on them so they can go around our necks or arms. Enjoy!

We buy ours at Walmart too. A lot cheaper and they work good. We just used one for 2 people instead of lugging one around for each person.

We have 1 for our family of 4 and finally had to change the batteries after like 3 years for our recent trip.

I wouldn't want to lug that many around so you may consider sharing - plus those suckers aren't crazy cheap anyways.

I'd say go ahead and bring some extra ones. You never know and if you don't use them, replace the ones in your remote when you get back. lol

At Walmart they cost around $8.00. One day we forgot it and bought one at AK and it was 18.00 and some change with tax came to 19.00 something.

I don't have room in my suitcase for all those if I bought them ahead of time, I'm bringing 3 suitcases, one is for DH, one for me and one is filled with gifts for my 3 grandsons, DS & DIL. The youngest will turn 1 at Disney and the other's are 2 and 5. Nana & Opa always bring gifts, lol. My son doesn't let me send them through the mail, they don't want them spoiled with gifts all the time. Otherwise I might go overboard, lol.

I think buying the spray bottles at Disney is more fun, and a great souvenir for all of us. They live in Texas so i'm sure they will get lots of use, and relatively inexpensive compared to other souvenir's in DW. Plus I want one!!

THey are close to $20 a pop and aren't exactly light once filled with water. You don't need one for every person in your party. Sharing would be much more economical, not to mention then everyone doesn't have to carry around an inconvenience.

I agree they are pretty big. The ones we buy are half the size of Disney's and the smaller ones fit better in our bag.

I bought one and wished I'd had fresh batteries for it. I didn't think it worked very well and tried replacing batteries when I got home and it ran much better.

I will say that our batteries died on a really long trip and they gave us free ones to put in it when we went to the fan kiosk to buy them. They told me it was because we bought the fan there. Not sure if they always do that but they did it for us!
