Nov.3-11th.
Mickey and I celebrating our 20th Anniv. and Goofy was supposed to be doing the same but instead is celebrating a divorce after 20 yrs.
Day one--- We drove 14 1/2 hours was supposed to stop at Daytona for one night, missed the exit got on I-4 and drove on in to ASMo and they were nice enough to get us a room for the night. We were also able to get rooms next door to each other and DH and I got a room with a King bed and It had a refridgerater in it.
Day two-- We visited Downtown Disney and ate at Wolfgang Pucks Express and then came back to the hotel to change and took the bus to Epcot got on the Monorail to TTC and took the monorail to the Contemporay Resort for a late dinner at Chef Mickeys. We really enjoyed it.
The charactors came around alot and were really goofing around as the restaurant emptied. We had the waiter cracking up about celebrating an aniverary and a divorce!
Day three--We took the bus to AK. We walked on to the Safari ride, didn't use fastpass on anything. We had lunch at Rainforest Cafe. We really liked the Bugs Life Movie. We took a Bus hop over to MGM at 3:30pm. just missed the parade though. We fastpassed RNRC and rode tower of teror. They posted a 30 min. wait time but we walked right on twice. We had a turkey leg for a snack and headed over to get into Fantasmic. It was 2 thirds full before 6pm. I didn't expect it to be full on a Mon. We took a boat to Epcot after the show. DH did not like the wait for a boat and how we had to stop at the resorts before we got to Epcot. We enjoyed an hour and 1/2 of the Food and Wine Festival and illuminations.
Day four--Tues. we took the bus to Magic Kingdom. There was a long line at the bus Stop but there were 3 buses back to back so we didn't wait long. We went left at the Castle and got right on the first 4 rides. We fastpassed Space Mtn. and Buzz Lightyear. I had a nice encounter with Minnie and Mickey at MK. I wore an I love Mickey shirt and Minnie spotted me stoped and pointed at my shirt and then gave her Mickey a kiss. I loved the Parade at 3pm.
We took the Monorail to Epcot after 5pm. We rode test track in the single rider line walked right on. Then enjoyed world showcase and the parade and ate dinner at San Angel Inn. It was delicious.
Day Five-- We drove to IOA not crowed at all Goofy really liked this park. Spiderman was the favorite. We are Coaster fanatics so we love the coasters at IOA. We had lunch at HardRockCafe. We went back to the Hotel and then changed to go to PI. I was not too impressed with PI. We ate dinner at Planet Hollywood and left early because Goofy had an asma attack.
Day Six- We slept in and enjoyed the pool and then took the bus to MK and the little boat to the Poly Resort for the 5:15 Luau. We really enjoyed it. Goofy was picked out of the audience by one of the male performers and he danced in front of her. She enjoyed this. We had booked our dinner back in March and was front row Center. After the Luau we shopped at the Main Bldg. and then took the monorail to the TTC and a bus to the Market Place to do some more shopping. DH just loves us girls and our shopping!!
Day Seven- Friday we spent the whole day at Epcot had lunch at the Biergarten. Goofy really loved the buffet. We do also, We used to live in Germany and we enjoy talking to the Germans who work there. DH absolutely loves the food and wine festival and had to sample all of the beers represented. Mine and Goofys favorite was the Irish booth the two wines to sample were excellent!
Day Eight- We took the bus to MGM and did everything we wanted except Indy. I wanted to do Millionaire so we fastpassed it. Goofy wasn't sure she would like it because she doesn't watch the TV show but she admitted it was fun. Especially when the Teen from Canada got in the hot seat with the T- shirt that said "Bite Me" on it. Everyone started laughing when they did the close-up of him on the monitors!! We knew then it couldn't have been rigged because the shirt didn't fit the Disney Image! We had lunch at the Sci-Fi Drive-In. Our only wait with a PS. They will not take you in any earlier than your PS. and they have 20min. after that to seat you and it took us 15min. to be seated. We loved the burgers, fries and shakes there.
We left MGM at 6pm. and DH and I went over to MK while Goofy went to do laundry at ASmo.
I wanted to see Spectromagic and Fantasy in the Sky and Goofy doesn't like parades. I got a big icecream cookie sandwich at the Mainstreet bakery, huge! We rode space mtn. we had a 30min. wait although it was posted 60 min. I just had to ride space Mtn. one last time.
Day nine- we left for home, stopped at Daytona Beach to walk the beach, pick up seashells, take some pictures and buy gifts for home.
We had a great visit. Thanks to the DIS Boards for all the help I got in planning the trip. I don't post alot although I have been lurking around the boards since 98. I didn't get a user name til 99. I guess I am shy.
