Mickey Jack O Lantern Pattern?

To create a glow effect you carefully scrape the outer part of the pumpkin. Hopefully in the link below you can see how the moon has not been carved out, but only scraped. I'm not sure on your pattern if the grey part is to be carved or scraped. If it's the Mickey then I think the pants and his face should be scraped. His shoes and hands should be carved out.
