Mickey Icon Tie Dye shirts

There was a thread somewhere on the Dis with instructions that told how to make the Mickey Icon Tie Dye tshirts and they had photos. I can't find it. Anyone know where it is or have the instructions?

I tried doing a tye dyed shirt with the thread then elastics, it didn't come out well at all.

I ended up making a Mickey Sillouette template and spritz the fabric paint all over the shirt with the template down. I did it in purple and blue. It came out nice.

really lisa? i wanted to try them, but not sure if i dare! i wish i could just buy them somewhere??? because i would just love a mickey tie-dye!

Here are pics of both shirts.

The one I am wearing, yes, aren't I gorgeous is the one with the template. Very easy to do.

The blurry pic was doing the outline in basting thread, scrunching it up, putting elastics, then dyeing it.

Get yourself a white shirt, and two colors of the fabric paint spray at a craft store. I got mine at ACMoore. Then we'll talk. I'll walk you through it. If I can do it, you can do it, I can help. (I feel like a Lowe's commercial)

I made them! They looked great. I recommend sewing the mickey head outline with waxed dental floss. You have to pull that together very very tightly and then I bound it with the dental floss endsd before I put on the rubberbands. When I was finished I outlined the mickeyhead with fabric paint glitter stuff.

Not the best picture, but these were fun and super easy Mickey shirts to make! If you want details, let me know. You can't see it in the picture, but I wrote WDW 2006 on each shirt also!

For the outline, after the shirt was dry, I used DecoArt, SoSoft Fashion Sequins Writer - Ice Crystal.
