When we were in WDW last month we saw those large Mickey head -ornaments (approx $15 each). Of course after we came home we had the bright idea to do a whole Christmas tree with those as decorations. Unfortunately we did not buy any while we were there. Now that I am home and want to buy some, I am having no luck finding them on-line. Also, a CM at DHS mentioned that after Christmas they go on sale. Is there any way to purchase them over the phone at one of the parks and have them shipped to me? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You can call Disney World and tell them and chances are they can send them to you. If you have any receipts from when you were at Disney World, they have the phone number on there. I broke an ornament when I got home and they were able to ship it to me again. I understand that shipping can cost a fortune, though. I had the sku from my ornament, though, because I still had the box. You will need to have a very good description. If you can't find a receipt (all Disney World receipts have this number), let me know and I'll find one and give it to you. If they have any left, hopefully, they could send them to you.

You can order them through WDW merchandising (phone number or email). But you won't be able to get any discount off even if they're on sale in the park. You'll have to pay face value.

407-363-6200 - Disney Merchandise, they can get you anything that is in the park and ship it to you.

This doesn't answer your question, but my Christmas tree this year was done in the small Mickey Head ornaments. It looked great.

What about the store that is Christmas all the in Downtown Disney? That is where I usually buy my ornaments because I'm not always there at Christmas and I have to add a couple of Disney ornaments every year to my trees.

Thanks so much for your suggestions-I'm going to call WDW Merchandising right now-I'll let you know how it goes!

YAY! I now love WDW Merchandising-never even knew it existed before you lovely DIS'ers told me about it. I always know I can find my answer here! The operator who helped me was wonderful and patient. Anyone who has seen these ornaments knows how many different ones there are. She went thru ornaments, one by one, explaining how it looks, colors, etc. I quit when I got to $150. They'll be here in 10-15 days.

I figured maybe in the summer I'll order some more (once my husband recovers after he sees the Visa bill ). Unless he's wonderful enough to suggest another trip to WDW this year and we can buy them ourselves!

FYI shipping was about $20, and I ordered 6 or 7 of the big ornaments and 2 sets of 8 smaller Mickey head ornaments.

Now I can't wait until next Christmas-our Christmas tree is going to be so cute with our new ornaments. I'm also going to use all of my Disney character ornaments I buy on each trip-with big multi-colored lights, we'll feel like we're in Disney!

I'm so excited for you. Yes, I was thrilled when Disney Merchandising was able to help me, too!! They are great. I'm glad the shipping wasn't high like I suspected it might be. I think the CM felt sorry for me since I was such a wreck over breaking my ornament so I did not pay high shipping on my one ornament, either. However, she told me that it would normally run about $20. Maybe that is the same price for a certain amount of stuff. Regardless, not too bad considering all you got and how exciting it will be when you open it all up next November or December when you are putting your Christmas tree up! I'm glad they were able to help you. Enjoy!

So, this isn't exactly your topic, but related. We made some Mickey head ornaments last year that turned out pretty cool. We used glitter covered plastic ornaments from Hobby Lobby. We used two smaller round ones as ears on one larger round one for the head. The black glitter ones look very cool on the tree (dark, but sparkly).

I was used to having beautiful trees with glass ornaments, but I needed something more little kid friendly and these plastic Mickey heads may be my favorite ornaments now.

Just an idea to add more Disney to your tree a little faster (and cheaper).

We also like to make photo ornaments on the photopass website using pics from our Disney trips.

You're lucky-when I inquired about getting them on sale she said that it's not available theu WDW Merchandising-you pay full price. Maybe I got cheated? I sure could have used a discount!

I just checked disneyshopping.com -- they have a bunch of Disney ornaments on sale, including sets of mickey heads -- one set in red and green (8 for $10.99), one in glitter pastels (8 for $16.99), one in metallics (8 for $10.99 one in "winter" blue and white (8 for $16.99). They also had a set of "fab 4" mickey head ornaments -- Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. $5 shipping on orders of $89 or more. Wish I had some money! I already do a family tree that's got tons of Disney ornaments on -- some grandma bought for the boys, some I've bought; a "rustic" tree; and I'd love to do an all-Disney tree and clear up some space on my family tree. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tip. But when I went to the website, they are shown, but they are out of stock on all of them except the mini blue set. Crazy! Why even list them it you can't buy them?? They're so cute, too. Thanks anyway!
