Do the places that sell Mickey ears all carry all the styles, or will we need to wander the park to see all the varieties? Where are the places that do the embroidering? Can we purchase them elsewhere and take them there for that?

Specifically, I'm thinking that it might be fun to buy the ears at World of Disney the night before we go into the parks, but I don't want the kids to find ones they like better within the park or learn that we can't get their names on them.

The Mad Hatter has all the styles I think and that's where you get them embroidered for free with your receipt. I think you have to buy them in the park for the embroidery though-maybe someone knows for sure.
The Emporium has tons of styles of ears too which is just across the street.
There are kiosks all over that sell just a few styles of course, but the bigger stores like the ones I mentioned above will have most all of them I think.

We bought our 50th anniv. Mickey ears at World of Disney and then kept the reciept and took it with the ears the following day to The Mad Hatter in Fantasyland to get embroidered.

If I remember correctly, the selection at World of Disney didn't compare at all to what they sold at The Mad Hatter, but at the time all we wanted was the basic ears so it worked fine for us.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the responses! I've seen the basic ears in a variety of colors and pirate ears and princess ears. What else is available?
