Anybody else get that ultra-nostalgic feeling when they wear them at home?

I love mickey ears. Such a classic. I got mine embroidered.

MY DD has a pair of mickey ears like on a headband and they are a shiny metalic blue covered in glitter, really cute we take turns wearing them much to both DD and DS horror..lol Little do they know this trip mom is gonna wear pigtails or braids and wear the ears.. They will be so embarressed!

I have the headband with the minnie ears on it that I wear when we go to WDW. My DBF has the regular Mickey ears, the gold Mickey ears, and the pirate Pluto/Goofy hat ears. He wore the regular Mickey ones to work on the Kingdom Hearts II release day (he works at GameStop) and he wore the pirate ones to the midnight Pirates II showing on opening night. Plus he brings all 3 with us so he can wear them in WDW

I always buy new minnie ears on every trip-even wore them over my poncho hood in the rain last trip.
If i ever feel down i put them on-great way to cheer yourself up (just have to remember not to answer the door with them on)

At home I am writing my senior thesis and often pop on the ears to write and do research, takes the seriousness out of it.

I close my door when I put my mickey ears on... I almost walked out of the room, totally unaware. Phew!

The other day, I woke up early early early on a Saturday morning to go pee. And, while I was up... I noticed the ears so I put them on and laid down next to DF. Poked him with my finger and waited for him to roll over and realize I was nuts. And I said... we're going to Disney!!!

He rolled his eyes, grinned and went back to sleep.

Believe it or not ... they ran out of gold ears and I did not get any ... didn't want to order them after the fact... anyway, I got Tigger Ears. Must admit though I have them on my TV console with my Princess Tin (Container) and my Greatest Celebration Pluto and Eeyore, I have not worn them again.

But I saw some Minnie ears attached to a pink hat by the Pooh ride and sorry I passed them up ... I am getting them on the NEXT trip!!! Those I think I will wear at other times!

My boyfriend and I have the Tigger and Eeyore headbands and also the Minnie and Sorcerer Mickey headbands and I drag my boyfriend around in them all day (my mood will dertermine which set we wear)....now that's love! My boyfriend isn't a disney nut like I am but he wears them with no complaints!!!

Cyndo723 - Did you wear a tiara you found at WDW? I swore I was gonna wear a tiara but didn't like the ones I found there! Just curious. I liked wearing my Tigger ears too but ... crowns, jewels, sparklies .... more my style ... even though I did enjoy flaunting my inner feline ....

I have the gold minnie headband and I wear it whenever I need a pick-me-up. I have been known to still be wearing it when the pizza or chinese is delivered. I may bring them to work and wear them the whole week before my trip. I will definately bring them with me, but I think I will probably also look for another set of ears as well.

They just came out with another set of ears. They have a red hat with Sorcerer Mickey on the front and silver ears. I'll try to get a picture to post next time I go to DTD.

*raises hand* Oooh I do! I'm 14 and I've had my same pair of mouse ears since I was 10, It has my name embroidered on the back and whenever I wear it I get flashbacks to previous trips. It's awesome....
