Mickey Ears Personalization... need YOUR help!

Ok... I've been dating this girl for a couple of months and it's been nothing short of amazing. She's actually going to be picking me up from the airport on my arrival home from WDW. Upon seeing her, I want to ask her to make it official with me and ask her to be my girlfriend.

My ideal plan would be to present her with Mickey Ears with personalization that reads "Will You Be My Girlfriend?" or even better our initials and the date.

My problem is that it appears I can only do 10 characters when doing this online.

When I'm at the Magic Kingdom ordering this, do you think they could do more letters? Obviously, I would pay a larger amount to have this done a certain way.

Any other tips for a great way to ask her would be awesome.

Unfortunately they will only let you do names. A friend of mine wanted a saying on hers and while they did ask a manager about it, the answer still ended up being no.

they wont even do nick names -- it has to be a name. I guess they are quite picky about it.

So maybe get a blank pair of ears and purchase some white sticker letters at the craft store and make your own

You could buy plain ears (available at disneystore.com) and take them to a local embroidery place to have whatever you'd like put on them. The local place may charge more, but they won't have restrictions about what you can put on them (other than space restrictions)

They do have the iron on letters you can purchase in the store. Then you can put whatever you want on it.

Another option. Since you're going for the holidays, there's a mickey and minnie ornament. On it, it's says "our first christmas", on the back you can have them put whatever you would like. There is a charge for each word, but there's really no limit.

So when she unwraps it, you can say "I'd like this Christmas, to be our first Christmas together".

If you can't do the hat thing, can you have someone take a picture of you with Mickey Mouse, while you're holding a sign reading, "_____, Will you be my girlfriend?" Get it developed before you see her at the airport, then give it to her. Whatever you choose, good luck!

Disney would not object to having Mickey hold a sign? Could I get photopass to take the picture and have it printed at the parks?

I'm guessing Mickey won't be able to hold a sign as they might end up running into all kinda of trouble with people requesting questionable signs being held. That's just a guess, but I think Disney seems to err on the side of caution.

There's no reason YOU can't hold the sign while standing next to Mickey and having the picture taken though. Besides, you want her to be your girlfriend, not Mickey's!

yup, names only on hats, they even questioned my DDs names repeatedly. I was quite annoyed with the lady to be honest, my kids names are different but not that different.
I like the ornament idea, I think that will work out great!

Mickey can hold a sign like that. Just let Mickey and the attendant see it before you hold it out for the picture.
You can use the photopass photographer, 12.95 for a 5x7 print, or if you use your own camera, for about 50 cents a print, you can print it at the little kodak kiosk machines in the camera store.
If your going to the Christmas Party, I'd do the picture with Mickey and Minnie in Toontown in their holiday outfits.
