To me Mickey Ears are sacred - meaning special. I have had several pp ask for me to bring back ears as a souvenior and I explain to them that they are sacred to me and that they would have to go and get them their selves if they wanted them. They have all look at me weird and kinda made fun of me. I think that is wrong, I love disney and that's part of the magic. Am I the only one, or am I just nuts?? :confused3

lol well i belive there special to but i brang back the magic to my family and friends if they want them. im planing on makeing it a christmas gift..some the magic not sure if it will be ears but it could be

I'd have no problem bringing them back for people. I love to buy ears and have quite a variety at home, perfect for every mood, hairstyle, and holiday! I love them, but I understand that not everyone can take the time off work or can't afford to go to Disneyland, so why not bring a little magic home to them?

LOL No I wouldnt have a problem bringing them back either, but I dont. I can sorta see where your coming from in the sense that Disney Parks are so much fun that you need to share it with someone even if its through the ears. Mickey ears kinda represent the parks and it would be less meaningful if whoever your buying the ears for have never experienced the park before. Even if they have you would rather them go have a good time and get their own ears.

pondering . . . does anybody actually wear their ears outside of DLR? . . . .what would one do with a set of ears brought to them? :scratchin

I'll wear my christmas ears once in a while, I wore my AK Safari ears while packing outside in the sun, and I like my headband ears to hold my hair back when I'm washing my face before bed. Cute, functional, and special. My ears can't be beat!

Oh, and I attached a headset to one of my headband ears, so I can look cute while talking. :cutie:

Let me clarify myself... I don't think it's wrong to buy Mickey ears and for other people to buy Mickey ears for others and to share the magic. I just don't. But I think it's wrong for PP to laught at other pp's thinking, dreams, magic and fun...;)

My DD wears them. But she is three, and frequently wears a Tinkerbell bathing suit with pink plastic dress-up shoes and a feather boa, so really she can't be counted as an example of good fashion.

I've bought them as gifts for people. A friend who lives out of state had a baby a few months ago, and I sent her a pair of the ears that say "My First Ear Hat" with his name on them.

I wear my ears outside of Disney... last trip I bought gold sequened Mickey ears and I wore then to a 50's anniversary party, a Parade, and even loaned them to a neighbor to wear to prom (they had a Disney theme) Oh I also have used them for Halloween costumes many times its easy to throw on my old Dis store sweater and ears and be a mouseketeer :thumbsup2

Well, I personally only want a souvenir if I've been to the exact place. But others don't feel that way. So if someone was giving me money to buy them something, I wouldn't let my own personal souvenir-theories keep them from something they wanted. My personal theories on other things get in the way of things, but not for souvenirs. :)
