Has anyone been to this one before? With so many food choices at WDW, I don't know why anyone would go here, BUT my son saw a picture of THIS particular McD's and says he MUST go. It doesn't appear to be that far, but walking from the All-Stars, is it really that far?

IMO, it's not that far to walk, but I am someone who is used to walking a lot.
It also depends what time of the year you go, I wouldn't walk it in teh July heat.

I lived in Vegas for 3 years and have been to Tampa several times int he summer - heat doesn't affect me much :o)

But at breakfast time, it shouldn't be that bad, right?

Well, I haven't been there in the summer, but I had already a bad time in May, I live in cold and rainy Belgium :) :)

IMO, the walk is OK, but of course, if you're in AS Mo, the walk will be a lot longer as opposed to staying at AS Sp.
And after all, people walk all around those parks in the heat too.

As far as I remember, you have to walk (there are sidewalks) out of the resort, until teh first crosswalk, cross the street and you're there.

And look at the positive side: by the time you're back at the hotel, you will have burnt off all those McD-calories! ;)

I HATE McD's, but we saw a picture of it and he got all super excited and said he wanted to go, so his wish is my command! Plus I think I nice walk in the morning would be nice before everything gets crazy!

You can definitely walk there. There's a Cast Member parking lot right next it so the All Star Cast members park there and walk to work. There's a sidewalk the entire way and lights for crossing the street.

I know what you mean about McD's. When my son was young, I wanted to buy stock in the place since we went there so often!

Here's a Local Live birds-eye view of the McDonalds:

If you pan down you'll see the 3 All-Star resorts. It's not a killer walk, but personally I wouldn't do it just for that McDonalds; there's not much to it.

You can go to the McDonalds at Downtown Disney instead. Same food, better service, and much better surroundings with all the other stores and sights at DTD.

If he thinks that one is neat, you need to take him to the one at DtD! That's my favorite McDonald's!

The walk isn't too bad, but to be perfectly honest with you, if you have a car, just drive it. You'll get there faster and if you bring the food back to your room, it will still be hot.

It will be a bit of a hike.

It is a good McDonalds. The food is hot and very fresh, as they are always very busy, lol. We like to stop in the mornings before we drive home.

We ate at this McDonald's a couple years ago. The reason my kids liked it so much was that they have a hugh screen inside playing movies. When we went they were playing Toy Story.

We were staying at ASMovies, and we drove.
