Sorry! I'm just paranoid I guess because on time I had something called My Way hijacking my browser and it was very hard to get rid of. I read that you can get it when you download things like this.

My dh didn't want me to DL the cursors for this reason but I did it anyway. So far so good. I should run a spyware scan though. Dh won't appreciate me messing up the computer for a cute cursor.

Ok, I have it downloaded and then I had to DL some software also. But I can't get to work.

My computer is networked and I am on a separate account. DH is an IT guy!! So, I am not allowed to DL, sorry just did twice and never load something new.

Since I have broken the rules so far, help me get this icon to work, thanks, April

PS: Short simple words. I have it saved but I can't find a windows folder in my section??

Okay I also can't figure out where my cursor folder would be? I have it saved to my pc because the download won't work for me??

DH just wrote a PM to another user that had problems but I know if you go to my computer, windows the curor folder is in there. Something about be careful the windows folder controls the entire computer?? I just noticed he has the control panel window open and on mouse so you can set a different icon for each thing.

I have tinker bell for when the computer is working and mickey head for when it is a cursor. Very cool and I thank God I am married to an IT guy. I could have never made this work!!

Step One:
Once the cursor is on your desktop (or wherever you downloaded it to), you open My Computer, double click the C: drive, double-click the Windows folder (be careful in there...it's where your operating system lives!)...you may get a 'files are hidden' warning...click on Show Files.

Scroll down until you see a folder named Cursors. Double click on it to open it, then drag the cursor that you downloaded into the folder. You can now close all the windows that you had open.

Step Two:
Open up Control Panel>Mouse and click on the Pointers tab. Make sure Normal Select is highlighted. Click on the Browse button on the bottom. A window will open up with all the cursors in your Cursors folder. Scroll across until you find the one you want, click on it then click Open. You can then click on OK or Apply.

If you want to use multiple cursors, for example to replace the 'hourglass', you can put in different ones and use the same method, except select Working in Background or Busy and put in a different cursor...Your cursor will change when the computer is working on something...kinda fun.
