Does anyone know if these are still available? When we cruised in 1999, there were available with the meals. They were "fancy", nonalcoholic drinks for kids.
Thanks.
They have different non-alcoholic offerings on the menu, but I don't think they call them "Mickey" drinks.
They also offer smoothies....actually you can get pretty much any drink in non-alcoholic versions from the bars as well.
An interesting story about Mickey and alcohol. My friends cruised on 3/8/03 on the Magic and her nephew proposed to his fiance out on Secret Deck 7. He had ordered champagne, flowers and a visit from the Big Cheese himself, along with a photographer.
DCL absolutely would not let Mickey be any photo where alcohol would be seen. If anyone had a drink in their hand they had to put it down before they could take the picture with Mickey. Disney is very strict at keeping Mickey's reputation intact. My friend was able to video the whole thing from Deck 8....can't wait to see it.
On a side note...the cost to have Mickey make an appearance onboard for 30 minutes was $500.
Wow - I think the story above is amazing - WHAT A GUY!!!
Another story - several months ago there was a post about a cruiser who ordered a non-alcoholic drink for her child...yup, you guessed it - came full proof and the child drank half of it before anyone figured it out...I will be asking and double checking if we order any non-alcoholic versions...

On the non-alcoholic drink topic, DD fell in love with "strawberry daquiris" on our first cruise when she was 8. No problems with accidental alcohol. But for a couple of years after we cam home she'd ask in restaurants if she could have a strawberry daquiri! We received some pretty strange looks~
Thanks everyone for the replies. My next question: my nephews would like to know if they are complimentary or do they have to bring their piggie banks? Thanks.
My DS 8. got Shirley Temples with his dinner every night and they were free. The waiter didn't even ask after the first night, just had they ready for him!
I think because they are 90% ginger ale....so I guess that is why they are free...probably considered soda. I ordered one every night while onboard!...why should the kids have all the fun!
