It's an option on children's menus that are supposed to be healthy and that meet certain nutritional requirements. Usually grilled chicken or fish with brown rice, veggies, and fruit as the dessert.
Thank you.. this is good to know. Just the other day, I made my grandson a sandwich and he wouldn't eat it, the reason? It wasn't wheat bread, so I must be teaching him something good
The stipulation with the Mickey Check meals is it has to be ordered exactly the way it is listed in order to meet the guidelines. Our experience with these meals was any deviation (different drink, side, dessert...) the waiter or waitress will let you know it no longer qualifies as a Mickey checked meal because it doesn't have all the components. We were still able to order it and make changes to accommodate our children's preferences.
I think that is a great option but I have a question....what do they really care if you alter it (meaning change the drink etc) ...it's not like you get a discount or anything for it do you??? I understand a change may make it less 'healthy' but that's your preference right?? just curious it's just helping your kids make healthier choices
