Mickey bars

OK odd question. 10 years ago my DH bought a mickey bar and it was so cold and hrd, his lips stuck and ripped - yum I know. Good honeymoon. He would like to know if they are always that hard or was it a fluke. We are going back for the first time next week. Thanks.

This happened to my DD.. then 12, several years back. Her tongue stuck tight. She had to go to a water fountain and run water over it to get it lose!

Since then, we haven't had a problem.. but she is always careful.

It depends on several factors. Transport, location, how busy the stand is etc.


If you get one again, that is frozen solid. You can usually tell because when you pull off the wrapper, the whole thing will turn frosty from the freezing the moisture in the air. Just stand there and look at it for a couple of minutes in the FL heat before eating, works every time.

Poor DH!!! We too found the ice creams, right out of the carts, to be VERY frozen (cold and hard!). In fact, the CM warned us about this. Give them a couple of minutes to soften a bit, it will not take long!!! PS - Have a great trip!!!
