I read that in Mickey's house mickey can be "dressed" in his outfit from steam boat willie..

Does he still meet wearing this outfit?
If so, is it only during special times?

We met Mickey twice on our trip last December. First time was late afternoon and the line was long, about 45 minutes. We met him in his band leader costume. Second time was during the late afternoon parade another day. Line was non-existent. Met him in his Sorcerer costume. Now I'm not sure how much time to invest trying on our next trip trying to see if Steamboat Willie might be there. I'd love to see what other reports you get.

We were at DLR in May and when we visited his house Mickey was dressed as Steamboat Willie.

I haven't seen steamboat willie at a meet and greet, but he does make an appearance during Fantasmic.

Any time I go to Mickey's house it is just regular Mickey. Maybe I am just unlucky. I really dont mind though, you can always ask one of the CMs working at the Meet and Greet

We were there in early May and got a picture with Mickey in his Steamboat Willie costume. It was early afternoon and the wait was only 20 minutes so we got in line. He was adorable!! I've heard you can talk to the cast member in Mickey's barn and ask to see Mickey dressed up as the band leader or Steamboat Willie and you may be directed into a different room. We met him by chance. The second day he was dressed as the band leader. We had a hard time tracking him down in his traditional outfit!

I have two stops planned for mickeys house.. I really hope we get to see him..
I will be asking when we hit toon town

Does anyone know if talking Mickey is at DCL?

As a meetable character, not that I've heard. Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom in Orlando is the only spot this particular version of meetable character exists. There is certain infrastructure that must be installed before this can happen, and I only see it as possible at Mickey's House at DL--nowhere else he meets currently.

I meant to say DL but had DCL on the brain. Thank you for the info.

Update: He is still filming there. Altho "very limited" times.
From my understanding on weekends. mostly in the afternoon

STEAM BOAT WILLIE! I am freaking out. I have only ever seen Band or Sorcerer costume. And I had them in photos. I like classic Mickey. But would die for a STEAM BOAT WILLIE PHOTO OP! Anyone have more information about when and how to catch him or if it's new? In all my years I have just never seen/heard about this.

Met him as Steamboat Willie on Monday at his house in Toontown. No idea what the schedule is if any. He wasn't wearing his hat though, was hanging on the steering wheel.

Btw: that line was oddly fast. Think it was 20 deep and we saw him in about 5minutes.

I think the Steamboat Willie meet has technically been around about as long as Mickey has been in Toontown. I met him on that set no more than a few years after Toontown opened, and then again a few years ago.

But certain sets may be used more often than other sets, and it's also like Star Tours or Radiator Springs Racers in that you could try a large number of times and never get a certain scene! (Unlike the rides, though, you could ask a Cast Member if he's on a certain set that day and they might be willing/able to help you out.)

He does have a colored face, by the way; it's just his outfit that is black and white.

I wish you could plan for this. My son would flip out. He loves vintage Disney and would get a real kick out of that meet and greet!

I had no idea. I'm going to ask about it next time I visit Mickey's house.
