Mickey antenna toppers

I bought several of these from the laughingplace store. However, after a couple of days, it fell of my dash and does not have enough sticky left to attach back on. I tried with 2 more and the same thing happened. So be careful, especially if you live in a hot part of the country.

Perhaps it might work by getting some adhesive Velcro from a craft/fabric store. That's if you don't mind the adhesive stuck to your dash.

I got this topper in the store at disney studios. As you are walking out, the last one on the right, can't remember the name right now though but you probably know which one i am talking about.

Awesome! We're scheduled to go there tomorrow! Thank you for the heads up. They look so kewl!

hmmm, i suggest some gorrila glue and a magnet for the base!

Has anyone had any success making the hole bigger to accomodate a larger antenna? I wonder if it'll stay on?

With enough coaxing, I made Mickey fit on my antenna, and it stayed just fine...until my antenna fell off. :lmao:

I had a cheap Wal Mart replacement antenna, and it finally had enough. So, if you see it on the interstate anywhere, would you return it, please?

I don't have an antenna either, so here's what I did with mine. I wanted it displayed in my car, so I put a little dab of glue on top between Mickey's ears, and attached a thin ribbon about 8 in long. I then tied the ribbon around my rear view mirrow and have a dangling Mickey head!

I picked up a bag of tiny round things with the screw bottom. I think they are called screw eyes and I got the smallest I could find.

I screwed it into the top of the antenna topper, put a ribbon through the hole and hung it from my rear view mirror.

I did find out that the glue on Fantasmic Mickey topper does melt when it goes over 100 degrees. But it was easy to glue all back together and when the weather cools off a bit, I'll put it back in the car. :thumbsup

I use napkin rings to display my antenna toppers that correspond to holidays, really thin ones work the best.

For my everyday toppers, I had my hubby cut me some pieces of wood, glued them together like stair steps, drilled holes offset from the row behind, then he cut pieces of dowel rod, all the same length, inserted the dowels (glued them in) into the stairs of wood, and we put the antenna toppers on the dowel rods. (the dowel was purchased with a topper in hand to ensure we got the right size. This can be made as little or large as you have space or need.

I sanded and stained the wood so it was pleasing with my other wood furniture, but could be easily painted.

One tip to keep from scratching wood surfaces, you might want to add some felt dots to the bottom of your wood base.

We made our big enough to add future purchases of antenna toppers.

I have an antennae, but it's kinda slanted, so I couldn't put a topper on it. I made a "bouquet" and planted them in a vase and keep it in my Disney room. I bought bamboo skewers and place them on those and put them all in a vase. It takes me to a happy place whenever I look at it!!

Great idae! I will remember this when I see cute ones on my next trip.

I love the antenna vase idea! My students all know what a Disney freak I am, so this would be great in my classroom!
