Anyone ever order this from the Disney Florist to have delivered to the room. No price - too late for me to call now - leaving tomorrow. Anyone know how much it is????

Pricing information is available on the florist website. On the home page, click on one of the Mickey balloons. A page will come up with a big picture of Mickey's face. Below Mickey's nose, you will see things like "Birthday Wishes", "Magical Welcomes", etc. Click on the one you are interested in. A page will be displayed with pictures, details about the package and price.

Thanks - has anyone ever done this. I know it is probably not worth the money - but it certainly would be nice to see the kids face when they opened the room. Is it as nice as they describe?

I'm going in Aug., and aside from the heat, I also have my daughter's 8th birthday to be concerned about. I was thinking about this myself, but the price tag made my eye balls bug out. I would also like to hear from anyone that's given (or recieved) it. Is it worth the price?

Also, I talked to someone at Disney Florist; she told me that they can't have it ready there the day you arrive. That's kind of a bummer.

My daughter just did this on Sunday the 29th for my 3 year old Grandson.
They are staying at the All Star Movies Resort.

The cost was $400 +

I was there to see it. It was done beautifully - a felt banner was hung in the room window. A light up tinkerbell was hanging on the drapery. Mickey's foot prints went from the door to the table. On the table was the autograph book and pen. Mickey singed the book. There was a picture frame with an autographed picture of the Fab5 on the table too. There were also 3 helium balloons in the room.

There were individual birthday gifts from: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy & Pluto. The boxes were beautifully decorated in a theme depending on whom the gift was from. The boxes all measured approx. 18"x18"x18"

I think my Daughter enjoyed the whole thing more than my grandson - I felt it was too much for his age. Now for an older child, I think it's a wonderful surprise. The room gets decorated after you check in. I believe it's between 6pm & 8 pm. So after going to the theme parks it was fun to come back to their room to see it.

If you have the $$ to spend... I'd say go for it. For a once in a lifetime Disney surprise - why not.

Thanks. I've got to see if my wallet can handle it, but I'm truly tempted just to see the look on my soon to be 8 yr old's face.

I think for a soon to be 8 year old - it would be great. As I said before though, it is pricey, but you really do get quite a good bang for the buck.

Has anyone ever ordered something cheaper. Everything seems so expensive. I was looking last night for my son's 17th birthday, but everything was too expensive and I couldn't find anything appropriate for his age. Wish they had a ESPN type of gift basket.

If there is something that you would like for your son, you could call Disney Merchandising to purchase it and have them send it to the florist to encorporate in a basket for you. Merchandising is used to sending things to the florist location.

Good idea! I'm gonna look into it.

Thanks for the feedback. I am seriously considering this for my dd's 6th birthday in June. I would love to see pictures if you have any!

I'm doing a kind of knock off myself. I'm purchasing things ahead of time and using Disney Boxes that I have to wrap them. We'll even get the mylar balloons the day before. I have an enormous duffle that everthing will be packed in as well as a banner that a girl at my H's office is working on.

I'll send my son to soak in the bath and put everything out quickly as it will all be ready to go. This way I'll save a little cash and I can pick out the things I know he will love.

Its not a birthday for us but I love the idea of a welcome surprise!

Hello All. I am the OP and I did end up doing this for my DD 3rd Bday.

There was a smaller package that was about $225 and the larger for a bit more than $400. We went with the larger package. It certainly was a lot to spend - but IMO worth it.

I had it done on her birthday. We arrived back to our room (Saratoga one Bedroom). All the lights were turned off - but you could see the "glow" of a couple of things in the room. One was a BDAY lanyard and the other was a tink up on the wall.

The presentation was VERY good - the gifts so-so.

I have some great pics - if anyone can give me a "how to post pics 101" I would be happy to put them up. I see the "Insert Image" button above - but it doesn't do anything when I click on it.

The easy way to add a picture I think is to upload them to photobucket and then use the link marked IMG code.... paste that code in your post and the picture will appear. I would love to see pics

I would love to see the pics! If you go to photobucket.com you can upload your pictures to that site at no charge. Once you upload them there just copy the IMG code that appears under the picture. Copy and paste it into a post and the pictures will appear. The great part is that if you delete them from that site they will delete from your post automatically. It gives you more control over your pictures.

I am thinking of the Grand Welcome for DS4, I would love to see pictures of your DD's bday surprise.
Did she love it?

Ok - here we go with the pics - thank for letting me know how to use photobucket!

Description - wow the pics are big - sorry about that. I'm just happy I learned out how to do it!

As I mentioned before:
The room was dark when we entered. The lanyard around Mickey and the Tink up on top of the Happy Birthday banner were lit.

There is a description as to what is included in the boxes for presents. Again - nothing extreme - you are really paying for the decoration and the suprise. I would estimate the value of the goodies in teh box if purchased in Disney would be around $150 to $200.

I must say that the pics don't catch the moment. We had a 1 BR at SSR and it really felt like the whole place was filled with gifts from her. It was very nice.

We video taped it - just watching it and seeing how amazed and special she felt because all her "friends" snuck into her room for her birthday was worth the money for us.

My only problem......we are going back for her 4th BDay next year.....and she is already asking if her friends will sneek in her room. What to do! How do you top this??????
