Mickey America Ears at WDW

From a thread on the Dizpins trade board, it seems that pin #960 is available again for purchase at WDW -- but only two per guest.

Is this true?

Are the pins available property-wide? Just at Epcot?

Inquiring minds want to know.

They just came back in property wide on October 5th when we were down there. They were limiting them to 2 per person. I had a guest come into the store tonight who just came back and said that they were sold out again.

They came back in again yesterday and were being limited to 2 per guest. Someone picked up a couple for me, but I don't know where they were being sold.

We just came back from Orlando last night. The Mickey Flag pin is the most wanted item at Disney World right now. I am not a collector. I saw the Mickey head flag pins on the Main St cart in Magic Kingdom on Wed the 17th. They did not have any American pins. I asked about them and was told that all the parks had been sold out since the previous week and they were waiting on shipments. We stopped by the cart again later to pick up some pins for a friend that is a collector and it just so happened that they had just received the shipment.

We bought 6, one for each of us and 2 for friends at home and yes we had to stand in line and buy them two at a time. We wore them every day for the next four days and I don't know how many people asked us where we got the pins. We had people tell us they had searched 3 parks for them. We stayed off site and we had people in gift shops and restaurants ask us where we got them. When we were browsing in the Disney Store at the airport, the clerk told us she could have sold a thousand of the pins that day alone if they had able to get any.

We just happened to be in the right place at the right time for once.

Is this the Mickey flag head? It's available on cheappins.com too. Or, at least was up until yesterday. (approx $10 + shipping.) The flag head is on their main page. They also have one other patriotic pin in their regular Disney line up.

When I went on cheappins the Mickey flag head pins was priced for $4.44. I ordered only 1 pin. Later that week I decided to get more. and the price was $9.95. I guess they made a mistake. So I ordered two more for the present price.

They did have the pins up to Fri., when they sold out that shipment, another is on the way, exact date not known.

Since I had given mine away to a young Pilot who was leaving the next day to go overseas, and wanted one to wear under his uniform (sounds like something from WW11, but true anyhoo) I wanted to get another one..
Well when I got to the Fri. night pin meet, they were all gone...but a sweet CM bought one for me to replace the one I gave away, and she wouldn't even let me pay her back, now am looking for a very special pin for her...


anyhow, she said they should be in again this week..
