Day 9 Sat 10 Feb. Another warm and sunny day. Epcot is our favourite park but we seem to have been too busy having fun to take many pics!

We plan to stay at Epcot for the fireworks this evening, so we plan something else for the morning. The boys vote on a game of mini-golf. We set off but need to make a detour to buy DS1 some more swimming trunks as his disintegrated after all the slides at Blizzard Beach yesterday! We go to the big Wal-mart on the US 27, wow, what an experience! We buy trunks and t-shirts for the boys, DS1 buys some toys and I get some trousers and a pair of jeans. We drag DH away from the electrical department and manage to escape within an hour!

The boys had seen the Winter-Summerland course next to Blizzard Beach so that's where we go. This is a lovely little mini-golf course with two sides, all themed around Christmas! We play the winter course and enjoy the Christmas music and fun atmosphere. There are very few people playing. DS2 particularly enjoys running ahead to see what surprise the next hole holds! There are lots of fun special effects and all at just the right level for young children.

At lunchtime we drive to Epcot for the rest of the day. It is a bit busier than on Thursday. We are all hungry so we opt for burgers at the Electric Umbrella, which are quite tasty. DH goes to get fastpasses and then we walk to the Universe of Energy, one of the few Futureworld attractions we hadn't visited. We enjoyed this attraction although it seemed a little old-fashioned. The boys liked the dinosaurs!
DH and DS1 then go on Misiion Space, the proper version this time. DS2 and I go see Figment again.

We meet up in Innoventions where the boys have fun doing the robot race in Fantastic Plastics and building a robot afterwards. There is lots in here to keep everyone amused but we decide to carry on with our plan of walking round World Showcase. The boys want to collect all the Kidcot shapes to hang from their masks so we make sure to find all the Kidcot stops as we go round!

We explore Mexico where the boat ride is closed, then on to Norwy. There is a 40 min wait for Maelstrom so we get Fastpasses and have a delicious snack from the bakery while we wait. We enjoy the boat ride and watch the film - we have been to Norway so it was quite interesting! We then have a quick march through China, Germany and Italy. We watch a play in Italy about Romeo and Juliet and I eye up the shops.

We then arrive at Japan and the boys are delighted to find the shop has Pokemon cards and toys! They had not found any anywhere else, and there is a bigger range here than we have seen before. It is a very interesting shop with lots of things to look at, just as well, as the boys spend ages browsing! We have to tear them away as it is dinner time!

We have dinner in the Restaurant Marrakesh, which is a very beautiful building. We watch the belly dancer and enjoy our meal, we share some starters and then I have chicken and couscous, while DH has lamb. It is all very good and a nice rest from walking!

When we come out it is getting dark, We head back to the shop in Japan and make some purchases. We then find a spot from which to watch Illuminations. Luckily it is a very mild evening. We like it when all the lights are dimmed and are amazed by the show, even DH is impressed!

We then take a leisurely stroll through France, the UK and Canada then to the exit.

Lovely photos, Illuminations is one of my favourite things to see I have to see it at least twice (beginning & end) of my hols.

We both really enjoyed WinterSummerland aswell, it's a great mini-golf course!

Your boys certainly dont seem fussy over food, it's nice to see they will try lots of stuff.

:)

Great day, Michelle. We love WinterSummerland too, and I love the Japan shop for all the Hello Kitty stuff!
