.......ME was paid 323 Million by the Saudi Royal Family and that they own 32% of Euro Disney. Moore said this on Stern's Show this morning!

Who is ME?

is that like the Knights that say NEE

*YAWN* Yet another drive-by accusation from the Mouth of Moore. :bored:

I heard it too.

Great interview.

If Moore is correct - that the Bush family & the Saudi Royals - are linked as deeply as he says, then I'm voting for Kerry without thinking twice.

Are you going to take MMs word on that or are you going to look into the matter yourself?

Could have some elements of truth to it. I don't see why it's a problem though....

According to Newsweek and many other reputable news organizations, Moore is not correct. GWB's father was a senior adviser for a company that, at one point, some members of the bin Laden family had invested in. Bear in mind that the bin Laden family is huge. He has something like 50 brothers and sisters. They are also very wealthy. I'm sure they've invested in many companies that politicians or ex politicians are associated with.

If you're inclined to vote for Kerry, more power to ya. But don't do it based on misinformation.

And just why should the Kerry voters be any less inclined to do that than the Bush voters ? After all, most of them seem to think there is a link between Saddam and Al Queda, just like ol' Dubya told 'em :teeth:

I heard the interview too, very interesting. Gave you a lot to think about whether you agree with him or not but I do happen to like him. Of course I like Howard Stern too!

Wouldn't that be along the lines of 6 degrees of separation?

If you look hard enough, you probably could associate the Pope with Larry Flint.

There are so many versions going back and forth that you don't know what to believe. The best you can do is to read as much as you can and simply try to judge who is telling us the truth and who is lying.

That's because there is.

Saudi Prince al-Waleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz al-Saud does in fact own a percentage of Euro Disney. He contibuted over $300 million in 1995 to help keep Euro Disney going.

From the Associated Press

"The company was rescued, in part, by an investment by Prince al-Waleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia, who now owns 23.6 percent of Euro Disney. Walt Disney Co. owns 39 percent, and individual investors and institutions such as mutual funds hold the remaining stake."

From Bloomberg:

"Losses after the opening of the first theme park led to a restructuring at Euro Disney in 1994 that included a royalties waiver from Walt Disney. As part of that restructuring, Euro Disney brought in Saudi Prince al-Waleed bin Talal as a shareholder. Al-Waleed owns about 16 percent of the company. "

"Disney seeks help from Saudi Prince"
http://www.bupipedream.com/012704/wire/w2.htm

"According to BBC reports, Saudi Prince Al-Walid bin Talal helped float Eisner's becalmed EuroDisney in 1994 by writing a $360 million check that gave the prince a major stake in the operation."

No, I don't.

Do you refute that there is no connection (before the war) between AQ and SH?

What's this ?!? Actual facts ?!? But...but...How will the right be able to blindly slander Michael Moore if it turns out he was RIGHT about this ? :hyper:
