Michael Jackson is dead. R.I.P. MJ

Ahh, and they played Thriller at our Freshman-Sophomore last month! We were all dancing to it.

I remember, last year at WDW, walking through Pleasure Island (when it was in its old form) while the music video for Beat It played on extra-loud volume.

RIP to all celebs who've died recently.

I was so shocked when i heard the news. Im from the UK so i heard about 11 last night.
I've always loved Michael Jackson, and i had tickets to see him at the 02 arena. I'm so gutted i wont be able to see the legend in person.
My thoughts are with his family.
Rest in peace.

It was very shocking, to say the least.

He may have tarnished his image a bit these recent years, but he really is one of the most famous people ever to live. He opened up so many doors for other musicians.

RIP Michael Jackson, and also Farrah Fawcett, and Ed McMahon. We lost three great people this week.

::yes::

I remember watching Ed McMahon on Star Search...

Funny, my friend Jake's last name is McMahon. Heh.

Bye Bye child molester. Children everywhere have a collective sign of relief.

Prepared to get bashed!

I got a text today (I dont like it but...) saying

"Farrah Faucett died yesterday morning and when she got to heaven God asked her what her one wish was. She said she wanted all the children on earth to be safe. So God killed MJ"

And I think you should grow the heck up and read about what ACTUALLY happened during the trial.

:furious:
I would've texted anyone back "grow the heck up". If they think Farrah Fawcett would say that, they don't know her AT ALL.

wow.
heartless and immature are the first thoughts that just came to mind.

do you know how much of a verbal beating he has gotten over the years?
how many people have made jokes about him?
think about that, then put yourself in his situation.
would you like to live with the thought of tons of people thinking you were a child molester and constantly making fun of you?
no, im pretty sure you wouldnt.
now hes dead.
he had to die knowing that people thought he molested children.
the man was a musical genius, show some respect.

It was opening night for a show I'm in and I had just gotten there and everyone was running around saying "Michael Jackson's dead! Michael Jackson's dead!" then "No, just cardiac arrest. Not officially dead yet" then "Okay, now he's dead" We were playing "Thriller" in the dressing rooms. It's so hard to contemplate.

I got that, too. It's kind of sick.

Okay guys, everyone has the right to their opinion. Some people believed he did molest those kids, and some people don't. I don't think he should be treated any differently in that sense, just because he's a legend.

I mean, if you're neighbor was charged with child molestation, even if he was acquitted, wouldn't you always look at him differently? Most people would. Most people would believe the court system messed up, and that he really was guilty.

Once again, I don't have an opinion either way.

I could never picture this happening so early. I'm sure it was a big surprise to everyone.

im not saying he did or he didnt, because honestly I dont know.
im just saying that he had to live with tons of people constantly bashing him.
and its a shame that now even after hes dead people are disrespectful and rude.

I still can't believe he's dead. He was a musical genius. My thoughts are with his family, and most of all, his young children.
They can't hurt him now.
May he rest in peace.

Really people?
I'll remember to disrespect you when you die.

What the heck? Do you think he deserves that, the media is heartless. They twist things to sell. Greedy people live in this world and will do whatever they can and claim whatever they may, to get their money.

If he did what he was accussed of, he was not a well man. His father was cruel to him, and he was abusive. In my opinion he didn't do those awful things.

He opened his "bed" to children in need. He gave everything he had to underpriviledged children, and he was the most amazing person to ever live.

Don't disrespect him like that, rememeber the GOLDEN RULE?

IMO, even if you didn't like him, you still should be respectful to his death. He made a huge impact all over the world, and for that you should honor it.

Yeah, he was never a favorite of mine, but I still was sad when I heard of his passing.

AGREED!!! The man has THREE CHILDREN and a family who are mourning the loss of him, and snarky little (insert expletive here) have nothing but rude disrespectful comments to make. Makes me slightly ill.

Sure there are tons of secrets involving allegations of molestation, but really, we'll probably never know the truth. These people could be lying to get money, he could be lying, we'll NEVER KNOW.

A woman was talking to me yesterday about how her family in the west indes and a lot of black families don't see anything wrong with sleeping (in a bed as in zzzzz, not as in molesting) children or your family members, she said she SLEPT with her uncles because there wasn't enough room.
But as soon as she came to America, if people knew she was sleeping in the same bed as her young niece she'd have been ostracized.

Again I say, we'll never ever know what really went down with him & his very unusual behaviours, I personally like to try to think the best of people and I think he had the best of intentions.
When he dangled his baby over the balcony, he wasn't thinking "oooooh i'm going to endanger my child's life wheee" no, I'm sure he was thinking more along the lines of "my fans would love to see my new baby"
Some people don't exactly have the best judgement, but they shouldn't be torn down for that, and certainly not disrespected hours after their deaths.

So if you have rude disgusting disrespectful hateful comments, maybe don't make such a jerk of yourself on a public forum and keep it to yourself. mmmkay?

I completely agree! I don't think he EVER had bad intentions. He had a lot of problems in childhood, and I think that really messed him up through his life. To him, sleeping with children was just a way to...comfort them, ya know? And like you said, he just wanted people to see his baby. I really don't think he knew better. He really needed HELP, not backlash and hatred.

Wow immature much?

A person, with children and a family has died. Think about that? Probably not.

He was proven innocent during his trial. And in case you don't know what that means, he did not do anything wrong. Most likely the kid wanted to make some money out of Michael Jackson, and accusing him of sexual assault was a great way to cash in.

So next time, why don't you not listen to what Mommy and Daddy say at the dinner table, and go form your own opinion.
