Michael Jackson is dead. R.I.P. MJ

They were just saying on CNN that they belive he had a broken rib and had pain killers on that. They belive that he may have OD'd on pain killers

Before anyone slams him for the pain killers, let me tell you that it is VERY, very easy to get addicted to pain killers. While I didn't have a full out addiction, I definitely depended on them for a bit longer than I should have. I couldn't walk, I was suffering from depression and post traumatic stress, I couldn't do anything for myself, and I was all in all in a bad place. Pain killers took the pain away, and they helped me sleep. Whenever I wanted "out", I'd pop a pain killer. It is very, very easy to depend on them. My situation is nothing like Michaels or anyone who's OD'd on pks, but I do know how easy it is to need them.

Such a shame. We've lost a great musician today. :sad2:

Im been watching all the news on him since 5 o'clock. He did have a few issues but he was an amazing musician. Watching all of his videos is just amazing, and his talent as a young kid in the Jackson 5....the guy was simply AMAZING

another thing is, im only 17, so i've only experienced one personal death in my life when i was little. and even though michael jackson wasnt someone i knew personally, i knew well of him, so....it feels weird to me. like wow, people that you always expect to be there wont always be. its really devistating to think about...blah it makes me get into a weird mood and i just wish today had never happened :/

idk if you guys get what im trying to say here but yeah...its crazy

this is crazy.
it feels like a big "just kidding!" joke.

very sad. :[

::yes::

i totally get what you're saying, and i totally agree.

I was very surpirsed to learn that he had custody of his 3 kids. Im very surpirsed that a court would give him custody considering all of his legal troubles. I understand that his ex-wife didnt want custody but Im still a bit surpirsed.

But, he did always try to hide his kids from all the attention.

I agree, Sonya. Pain killers ARE addictive. I was addicted to whatever they gave me at the hospital. I literally went through withdrawl when they took me off the pain pump.

Addicted within 4 days.

i'm surprised those are his kids.

i am honestly so saddened by this :sad1::sad1::sad1::sad2:
as terrible of a rep as he got, i always loved MJ!!!!!!!!
the soundtrack to my entire youth was his DANGEROUS album!

i am so fuh-reaking sickened by people making jokes about his death. it's REALLY not funny at all.
He was such a major icon and i am SO SO sad to see him gone.

On a side note, i work at a music store and i was working tonight, and literally once the news broke with TWO HOURS we SOLD OUT of all our MJ stuff!!!!! People were buying in BULK! crazy!!

I'm so sad RIP KING OF POP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate it when people don't respect the dead. Like give the man some respect. People on my facebook are statusing how they're glad he's dead.

Like come on people. Have some respect. You wouldn't have the moonwalk without him.

They're thinking that Michael's drug addiction made Anna Nicole's look like a walk in the park.

However, I am really sad. Naw, I'm not crying, but this man was a musical genius. He brought us the genius was Thriller, and I gotta respect that for him.
Yes, he did a few things over the years that made us question him, but you can't honestly think it was easy for him to live with half the population making fun of him.
I hate how people my age, don't really know how good of a musician he is, and what he used to be. To them he was a joke, and they never understood that he had a disease that made him lose the pigment in his skin, he didn't bleach it.

I feel so bad for his kids, they're not old at all. I can't even imagine. He himself was only 50.

I am 17 too, and I have experienced the death of a love one as well.

And while I didn't know him personally, "Man In The Mirror" inspired me to be the hope I want to see in the world. Because of that song I have volunteered my time whenever someone needed it. I work out to "Beat It", smile whenever I hear "Thriller," and laugh every time I hear "That Girl is Mine."

I have fallen asleep countless time listening to him. I had all of his CDs when I was a little girl and I have all of his songs on my IPOD. I know it sounds lame, but I cried when I heard. I cried when I heard his songs on the radio, and I got so mad when people were disrespecting him and saying ill things towards him.

He was truly one of a kind, a thoughtful heart, a brilliant musician, and a man who has inspired millions with his lyrics. I hope he goes down in history as the "King of Pop" as he rightfully deserves.

R.I.P. Michael, your family and friends are in my prayers.

I'm still in shock. It's freaking Michael Jackson! Someone like that...you just have a hard time imagining them as dead. What an icon. I feel so bad because he was a truly misunderstood individual. Rest in peace.

The jokes are sick. I read one on facebook like "children can sleep well tonight" DISGUSTING!

such a shame. such a talented man.
god bless him and his kids and loved ones.

That was a HUGE suprise. I wonder who was with him.

Rest In Peace MJ :sad::sad::sad::sad:

I might not have been his biggest fan, but I did enjoy his music.
It's hard to imagine this 'larger than life' celebrities dying.
My heart goes out to the family and all those involved.
He will be missed
