How did I not know that the legendary Phantom of the Opera played Cornelius Hack in the 1969 film Hello, Dolly?

Oh you get a good look at him in the movie too. It was funny....they started the movie and I looked at DH and said "wait a minute, that's from 'Hello, Dolly'!" He, of course, had no clue.
What was great about the Hello Dolly clips was no Barbra Streisand!:goodvibes
Overall Wall-E is an awesome movie.

Oh my God I totally missed that! I mean, I knew it was Hello, Dolly (yay for exposing both my Disney nerdiness and my musical theatre nerdiness in one date) but didn't notice that it was Michael Crawford!

I noticed it right way the first time the song was played. I used to have a huge crush on Michael Crawford 20 years ago( OMG! Am I that old?! ), and I still love the movie version of Hello, Dolly! MC and the music are the only good things in that otherwise atrocious movie. The funny thing is, the last music we heard on the radio (Broadway station on Sirius) on our way to see the movie was Carol Channing sing "Hello, Dolly!"

DH and I wondered how the creators came to choose that song. I hope MC gets a nice royalty from WALLE.

I noticed it right away too. I love how they played that song throughout the movie. It was so upbeat for WALL E's drab world:)

LOL, I knew right away that was Hello Dolly, which I have seen several times, but I had no idea until this weekend that it was Michael Crawford.
