After reading the MIB description at the Universal website, it sounds just like the Buzz rides at Disney. BUT, the Universal website says the aliens shoot back and spin you out of control. That is the part that scrares me...will it really spin me till I'm dizzy, or is it more like Buzz when you spin just a little. thanks.

You spin several times in the ride but it is not in succession. Only at the very end of the ride do you actually spin 3 times in succession (I think it is three).

The ride is much superior to Buzz with actual annimatronics of aliens.

you spin around once, maybe twice. This ride is our absolute favorite at US/IOA and we usually get right back on it two or three times in a row!! It really is much better than Buzz (blasphemy, I know :lmao:)

Actually, the ride is set up so that there are two "cars" competing against each other. There's a red sensor above each car and you need to aim for that above your competitor's car to make them spin, thus giving you the edge on shooting the aliens/racking up points while they're discombobulated. It's a hoot!

I too was worried about the spinning, but the only one that bothered me was the end one, but that being said I would still ride it again.

This ride was for some reason the reason I decided to make sure I got to Florida for the first time 5 years ago and it did not disappoint. While it spins you around I didn't find it to be a sickening feeling at all, it was a whole lot of fun. Can't wait to do it all over again in September.

It's manageable if you only spin when the ride spins you itself. If you have good players in the car across from you, they can easily nail you and cause you to spin over and over, which definitely can cause some nausea. It's a fun ride though. :)

We were Buzz Lightyear fans from Disneyland Paris where the laser gun is removable. WDW was a disappointment in comparison.

MIB blew both versions of Buzz away :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for answering. My son and husband ended up going on and I decided not too due to the spin.

Quick ??? about the guns / Lasers on the MiB ride. While upon the ride, is the "gun" stationary, or does it swing around, like a holster.

It can be picked up and you can aim it wherever you want to...it just has a cable connected to the bottom of it. It also has a "normal" trigger....it's IMO much better than Buzz at WDW (Why WDW hasn't upgraded their guns to be picked up like all of the other Buzz rides at the other Disney parks is beyond me)

Thanks Chris!!!!

Big difference between the two.. Buzz is ok, I just can never seem to rack up any points :lmao: MIB on the other hand, on a good day, I can really rack them up there..
Yes, MIB does spin a little. I am one that cannot ride the tea-cups because they spin, but I can do MIB with no problems....

Just a little FYI...if you see me in line with you on MIB be prepared for it to break down...it never ever fails! I've ridden this ride 6 times in the last year and every time we're waiting it breaks down. The shortest I've waited is 15 minutes for it to be fixed and the longest is about an hour.
