We will be there 3 days. Where to stay, what tours to take. Your experiences and opinions are greatly appreciated. Also is the drive to key west worth it?

We are travelling with 2 kids one 6 yr old and the other 20 months old so any kiddie stuff to do.

Miami children's museum with kids that age is great. We love monkey jungle too. Look for coupons in the tourist paraphenalia. I do not think that a drive to Key West (3 hour at least each way) is worth it with the age of your kids. They won't enjoy the view or the people watching. I would spend a day at the beach. It is spectacular in Miami. If you want to do a drive further North I would suggest Wannado City at the Sawgrass Mills Mall. A tour of the everglades is also great. Billy's swamp safari is a favorite of that age group.

Depending on your price range - Loew's on Miami Beach is great with kids. Beautiful beach and fun pool. Not too uber-trendy that a family would feel out of place.

How is the seaquarium if we r not big roller coaster people can we do this instead of sea world?

Let me think of when dd was that age. She is almost 13 now. I agree WannaDoCity is a blast. When are you going? They are having a Santa breakfast the 21st and 22nd of this month. If you like to shop well then you will be in heaven at Sawgrass.

No to Key West. Not worth the drive for your age of children. It is more of an adult place although we have taken dd. let's just say some of the sights:scared1: if you want to go to the keys then Key Largo and John Pennecamp are fine. Jungle Island (kangaroos, liger, etc) good. Discovery Museum in Ft Lauderdale is nice and then over to Riverwalk for dinner. DD loves that. Seaquarium is nice, but in no way compares to a Seaworld. If you've ever been to a Seaworld or large aqarium then you will be disappointed. Metrozoo was nice last time I went but been a while. Lion Country Safari is great but way up in Palm Beach but a blast. DD loves it. Airboat rides but be warned they are loud for kids.

Boomers....right off I-95 near Ft lauderdale--largest wooden roller coaster in Florida--have your 6yo go on the race cars and then play in the arcade. Oh yeah Dave and Busters for food and fun.

I think Ft Lauderdale beaches are nicer than Miami. Hollywood beach is great. If you let me know when you are coming and where you would like to go I can see if I have some buy 1 get 1 coupons I can send you.

Sea World is in Orlando, Miami Seaquairum is about 4.5 hours away. There are no coasters at Miami Seaquairum.

Miami seaquarium is OK, but honestly not all that great. The place is a little rundown.

Parrot Jungle island and Monkey Jungle island are both very nice and I hear great things about them. Miami childrens museum would be fun. What dates are you here? there is some fun local festivals depending when you are here.

Key west wont be worth it. Too long a drive with beaches just as good here in Miami.

The Everglades Gator Farm is much cheaper than other swamp boat rides and offers a gator show, snake show, and boat ride. Yet the whole place can be done in 2 hours to make it easy.,

Butterfly World is in Ft. Lauderdale and is a great place! I love it. A huge butterfly sanctuary with thousands of butterflies fluttering about. There are also birds and bugs to see. Wanna-do city in Ft. Laudersale is also tons of fun for the younger set.

Hubby and I like to go to Bayside Mall down by the port and take the scenic boat tour of some of the celebrity homes around there. Bayside is also a cute place to walk around and grab some food and souvenirs.
